Laila is poised for a big freshman campaign at Calvary Christian, where she will take over as the starting point guard and log significant minutes. After watching her multiple times recently at the PGH Freshman Showcase and ENG Fall League, her ability to impact the game on both ends has stood out. She can knock down the 3-ball, apply pressure defensively, and use her quickness to handle the ball against defensive pressure. She also finishes through contact and has shown the strength to convert tough looks into and-ones. Calvary Christian should be one of the top teams in Pinellas County, and having experienced teammates around her will help Laila navigate the transition to high school basketball.
