Hadley has been playing “up” two age groups in 17U, and at times she was the most poised player on her team. She has a very steadying demeanor, she has good ball skill, and she does a nice job of getting downhill and drawing contact. Additionally, she has touch outside, the ability to find open teammates, plus she plays with effort and rebounds her position reasonably well. She is one of those prospects who is just a really nice basketball player. In due time, she’ll have the attention of some colleges.

Hadley showed no hesitation to open the game with a long three, great smooth shot and a good catch and shoot player. Showed great hustle on the defensive end in transition, chasing down her opponent, which saved a bucket. Displayed very good work ethic, looks to continue to improve her skill set this summer.

Hadley is another 2029 who had a standout year as a rookie. I raved about her after the April “live” weekend a week and a half ago, because she was a magnet for contact and weaponized the free throw line. She does a really nice job of getting the first step and taking the corner against defenders. Add to that her ability to handle it and run a traditional point guard role, plus she can knock down open shots from the perimeter. This Winter, she averaged 17.6 points and 3.2 steals per game, while knocking down 49 3-pointers in 23 games.

Hadley stood out almost immediately for two reasons Friday night. First, she looked noticeably younger than the 2027s she was playing against in the 17U division, and second, she was the most impactful player on the floor. Within just the first couple of minutes, she had earned her way to the free throw line three times. She has a nice handle and is an aggressive attacker. She really understands how to draw contact, but she also absorbs it well at her age. She can knock down shots outside, run an offense, and defend with positioning. She has a very bright future ahead of her.

Hadley kind of goes against my comment about pouring in the points, as she is averaging 17.1 points per game this year. However, she is still quite a bit under the radar from a statewide perspective. Hadley stood out in the Fall at our Freshman showcase, and she has carried over that strong play to her high school season. She has also buried 40 3-pointers and is shooting 32% from the arc. She can and will act as a traditional point guard on occasion, and that’s probably what will suit her best at the next level, but for now, look for her to continue lighting up scoreboards each time out.

Hadley is another Southern Indiana Freshman guard who stood out at our Freshman showcase this Fall. She is a long, quick, and feisty guard who seems to just enjoy being on the court. She can create/initiate offense as a point guard, plus she is averaging 15.7 points per game while knocking down a pair of 3-pointers on average each game night. Hadley is attempting to help the Hornets to a third straight winning season and close the gap between them and the Bordens & Easterns (Pekin) of the Southern Conference. Keep an eye out for her during the Spring grassroots season.

Hadley was lightning in a bottle for Team 5 at the Freshman Showcase. Her flashy playmaking, scrappy defense, and tough finishers were exciting to watch. Hadley buried a smooth corner three and wasn’t afraid to pull it from downtown. She wrestled to tie up a taller opponent on defense and didn’t back down from a physical challenge. Hadley used a fast spin move on a dribble drive to get by and score a left-handed layup. She created space with a shifty combination of behind-the-back dribbles and buried a deep wing jumper. Hadley used a sweet behind-the-back crossover move to score a floater. She made a quick ball transfer after cutting backdoor to score a layup and dropped in another floater after a crossover dribble. Hadley took the ball hard to the rack for layups, created steals, and chased down rebounds. She made an impact on both ends and earned recognition as a Top Performer.
