Jaida Allen is another player that I briefly touched on throughout the weekend but what she brought to the floor over the past few days was second-to-none. She made sure that everyone else around her was going show out and have some impressive contests. She personally had to matchup with some other elite Point Guards/Scoring Guards and she did more than hold her own. Every time there was someone that would go at her in a 1v1 matchup, she made sure to let them know that she was the real deal in some form. she would either come back down on offense herself and get a tough bucket or she would get a stop on them defensively, more times then not. This Kentuckiana 2026 Ewing team only played with six prospects at this event and they did really well for those circumstances. They had a few other standout for how well they performed but one of the most impressive was definitely Allen.

Allen has always had talent, but coming into this season healthy and injury free, she looks better than ever. She was making great moves to get to the basket, but she really was finishing at all 3 levels and put together a really complete game. Allen was doing a little bit of everything for the Centurions from creating for teammates to rebounding to playing excellent defense. She showed how tough of a defender she truly is by constantly getting involved on that end of the court. She made some clutch baskets for CAL, including the game winning bucket. Watch for her to really breakout this season.

I haven’t gotten to watch Allen play in a while, so I’m very anxious to watch her again simply because she has made big improvements every time I’ve seen her play in the past. Last time I saw her, she was showing off her floor general skills. She was really setting the pace for her team while always having her head on a swivel. She has good handles and makes great passes up the floor and in the half court set. While she didn’t take many shots when I watched her, it was clear she had the ability to get to the rim and finish in the paint, while also being able to knock down jump shots.

Allen contributed so much to her team beyond scoring and that’s why she had to be on this list. Since I know she can put the ball in the basket, I was beyond impressed by her willingness to create so much for her teammates. She was handling pressure, forcing the defense to step over, and then delivering great passes to her team. Allen was bringing a lot of intensity on the defensive end as well.
