Gibson was hampered by a high ankle sprain from the previous game, but still was Banks’ biggest threat to score on offense. Gibson is tall and strong and handles the ball very well. On one of the first possessions she blew by her defender, got into the paint with two other Providence players waiting in help defense and Janakate was able to go up and around them and score off the glass. Gibson made several threes for Banks as well as getting to the free throw and converting her shots there. Gibson has the size and offensive ability to be a division one player in college. I expect her recruitment to pick up before her senior season.
