Expert Analysis

Jordan heads into her senior season as a seasoned varsity veteran, bringing stability and grit to Rockford’s lineup. She thrives on the defensive end, using her toughness, anticipation, and discipline to neutralize opposing scorers and set the tone for her team. Offensively, she’s reliable in pressure moments, stepping up to hit key shots and provide steady production when the Rams need a spark. With her experience and commitment to Calvin University already secured, she’s primed for a strong final campaign.

Jordan is a tenacious defender who shuts down opponents and changes the game on that end. She also rises to the occasion offensively, knocking down clutch shots when her team needs them most.

Jordan isn’t always the “flashiest” prospect on the court, but she’s often the most productive. Her length and athletic stature immediately grab your attention. She keeps the ball contained with her quick lateral movement and is an excellent help-side defender. Jordyn has a keen awareness of where the ball is going. She secures rebounds off the glass with strong boxouts and also chases down pursuit rebounds. At Northwood Team Camp, she showed her perimeter range by drilling a corner three and added another at the top of the key. Jordyn attacked downhill with long strides and a shifty crossover dribble burst to score a layup. She scanned the court to find open teammates in transition and caused deflections with her active hands. Jordyn picked up an offer from Ferris State recently and will have a major role to play in Rockford’s success this winter.

Jordan is coming off an incredible junior season, helping lead her team to the Breslin Center and a state championship appearance. She’s the ultimate glue player, doing all the little things that don’t always show up on the stat sheet – diving for loose balls, making hustle plays, and locking down on defense. She’s also a reliable shooter from beyond the arc, adding another dimension to her game. With her energy and versatility, I expect her to have a standout AAU season this spring and summer.

Jordan is the ultimate glue player, the kind of teammate every team needs to succeed. She thrives on hustle, diving for loose balls, making key defensive stops, and doing the small, often overlooked things that lead to victories. Not only is she a relentless defender and high-energy player, but she can also knock down shots from deep and create scoring opportunities off the bounce when her team needs it most.

Jordan is resilient and relentless, with a non-stop motor. She is a tenacious defender, creating chaos for the opposing team. On Sunday, she was sprinting down the court, effortlessly scoring in transition. She also made some impressive shots from beyond the three-point line. I expect Mateer to have a standout junior season for a talented Rockford team.

Mateer definitely stood out with her play in the semifinals. She was efficient and effective in many aspects of the game. Mateer played 36 minutes against an elite defense and had only 1 turnover. She can put points on the scoreboard, but doesn’t have to be ball dominant to do so.
