Expert Analysis

After a slow opening contest, Kindred bounced back with a 21 point and 5 rebound performance in her second game. She went on to average 13.4 points and 6.8 rebounds for the weekend. To start the event, it looked like she had issues with finishing through contact. But as the weekend went along, she played stronger and stronger on both ends of the court. Smart off the ball cutter, hits the offensive glass and is a graceful driver. Defensively, her long arms, timing and attention to details helps with rebounds, blocks and steals.
One of Oklahoma’s best, who made strides this weekend. The momentum she’s building should led to more team success for one of the top 16U teams in the region and country. While also making her a priority target for collegiate programs to watch during the May and July live periods.

One of the best two way players in the state. Has outstanding timing on the defensive end with help rotation blocks, jumping passing lanes and more. Often turns those steals into instant offensive with long, graceful strides and outstanding finishing abilities. Plays with a swagger that seems to turn up a notch in the biggest games. Took over a couple games in December against top 5A contender Del City for a comeback win with a dominating fourth. A few weeks later she dominated against 6A contenders Edmond North. In a January match up against 6A Mustang, Newcastle got off to a slow start. But still won by double digits thanks to a 20 point, 7 rebounds, 5 steal, 3 block performance. To balance her ability to attack the basket, Kindred has become money in the mid-range. And must be respected from beyond the arc.
With the Lady Racers as favorites in 5A, odds are if they fulfill their promise it will be with Kindred leading the way with signature highlight plays on both ends of the court.

Kindred is impressive because she makes the game look easy. Glides to the rim on drives, and seemed to always finishes. Casually swats shots at the rim. Or picks off passes. She’s one of Oklahoma’s star prospects and it showed as she was the difference in all three Newcastle wins. Scored 22 in the hard fought battle against Edmond North. With Newcastle needing every one on of them. Had 17 in the title game as they cruised to the victory.

Kindred did what a star should do, dominate. Used defense to jump start her offense, with an on the ball “gimme that” steal and another where she jumped a passing lane. Then was her usual combination of smooth and tough when finishing at the rim. Poured in 22 points against a tough defense. Kindred is one of the top sophomores and overall players in Oklahoma. She’s backing it up early in the season while playing with a fun mix of toughness and swagger.

Kindred was good throughout the game, slashing drives to the rims and making plays on defense. Even banking in a three. But when her Lady Racers found themselves down 10 in the fourth, she put the team on her back. It started with a couple swats at the rim, then tough finishes at the basket. More than just shot blocking, she switched onto a guard in the final minute and forced a steal that led to the go ahead score for Newcastle.
She’s ones of the most dynamic players in Oklahoma, with amazing timing on blocks and steals. And is a tough driver to the rim. A very strong start to her sophomore season.

Dynamic two way wing. Graceful slasher off the bounce, with an improving jumper from deep. Consistent scorer throughout her freshman campaign, with moments of brilliance. Including a 28 points outburst against a stingy Mustang team, who would go on to be Class 6A runner ups. Helped Newcastle to a State Tournament appearance in Class 4A. Has been one of the top producers for a loaded LEGYNDS 16U team, that has pounded regional 17U teams. While going undefeated in girls Nike EYCL play. Offers should be on the way

In a bounce back day for LEGYNDS, Kindred played with some sauce. Her hands are lightning fast on defense, with steals and blocks. Possible even too quick for some officials, as they assumed clean blocks were fouls. Offensively, she’s also a smooth driver with long strides graceful eating up space on the way to the basket. Seemed to play with more of a “I’m her” attitude in the games watched today compared to recent viewing. Big things are ahead for one of Oklahoma’s brightest talents.

It was a good tune up for the EYCL squad before a trip to Phoenix. Among the many standouts is rising star Kindred. With a complete and talented roster, she never fully had take over moments. But the upside and talent was still strongly on display. She was a huntress on defense. With her long, active arms, blocking shots and forcing steals. Then she picked her spots to do damage in the four blowout victories for LEGYNDS. With the competition about to ramp up, expect Kindred to be ready on the offensive end for bigger contributions this spring and summer.

Complete wing, who makes an impact all over the court. Smooth and skilled scorer, who is tough to keep out of the lane in the halfcourt. And is an athletic force in transition, especially with her improved finishing abilities. Applies those same athletic traits to the defensive end as a tough and aggressive defender. Put up numbers against one of the best defenses in the state, Class 6A Mustang. Then led her 4A squad to the State Tournament. Is off and running to start a busy grassroots summer, where she’ll be playing at the 16U level against national competition. Special set of tools and a winning mindset are evident for Kindred and her bright future.
