Karlea had a standout freshman season, leading Johnson Central in scoring with 11.6 points per game while also averaging 4.1 rebounds. She played a crucial role in helping the Lady Eagles finish as the top team in the 15th Region with a 27-4 record, win the regional championship, and make a state tournament appearance. Along the way, she also reached the 1,000-point milestone. Karlea can score from all areas of the floor and brings just as much impact on the defensive end. She picked up her first college offer from the University of Pikeville last month.

Johnson Central captured their first 15th Region championship since 2018 with a convincing 64-41 victory over Lawrence County. The Lady Eagles capped off an impressive season with a 27-3 overall record, going 14-0 in region play and 8-0 in district. Karlea Stanley Karlea Stanley 5'8" | PG Johnson Central | 2028 State KY claims the #7 spot on our rankings list. She is the younger sister of former 15th region standout Kylea Stanley that played for Belfry and Pike Central. From what I’ve been hearing she is the next big thing to come out of the 15th region. Karlea is a floor general, playmaker, stellar defender, and a brilliant-passer who can really thread the needle. Johnson Central went 29-3 in their 2nd season under Head Coach Jim Bob Hicks. I believe Karlea will be relied on a lot more this season with hopes of a Sweet 16 State Tournament birth looming.

Karlea has good size for a lead guard and the way she sees the floor is incredible! She is a magician with the ball in hand and showed flashes of an elite passer. I also liked her ability to score through contact and her floater was very hard for defenders to block. She got after it on defense and played passing lanes well. Keep an eye for Karlea!
