Takenzie averaged 9.6 points per game for Manual last season and provides a vital two-way presence in the backcourt. She knows how to generate offense with the ball in her hands, does a great job scoring through contact, and finds creative ways to finish around the basket. Her outside shooting is streaky and her defense is superb.

Takenzie turned heads during the AAU season and picked up her first offer from Simmons College. A lead guard who excels at getting to the basket, is a solid perimeter shooter, and wreaks havoc on the defensive end. Her ability to produce on both sides of the ball will be vital to the Lady Crimsons’ success this season.

There may not be a better 2028 duo in Kentucky than Takenzie Young Takenzie Young 5'5" | PG DuPont Manual | 2028 State KY and LiLi Mangrum. While Mangrum is known for her explosive scoring, Young is a little overlooked despite how much she can impact the game on both ends. An explosive driver with the ball, Takenzie is at her best when she’s getting downhill and getting paint touches. If Young can get better at converting from the free throw line and become a dependable three point shooter, she should be one of the best point guards in Louisville the next three years.

Tackenzie averaged 8.6 points per game and was a key contributor for the Lady Crimsons last season. A small but athletic guard, she excels at attacking the rim and drawing contact to get to the free throw line. On the defensive end, she plays with tenacity and puts constant pressure on the ball, making life difficult for opposing guards. I’m a big fan of her game and what she brings to the floor, she plays with heart and intensity every time out.

Takenzie Young Takenzie Young 5'5" | PG DuPont Manual | 2028 State KY has been terrific for Manual this season, averaging 10.4 points a game. She has a pair of impressive performances, including 19 points against Central and 20 points in the next game against Ballard. Takenzie is an explosive guard with good playmaking skills and she makes winning-plays on both sides of the floor.

Dupont Manual has a few talented freshman on the roster, and Takenzie Young Takenzie Young 5'5" | PG DuPont Manual | 2028 State KY is one of them. She was 3rd in points (8.5) and rebounds (5.0) for Grace James Academy last season. Takenzie is a small but mighty guard who competes hard on both ends of court. She is explosive off the bounce and has a knack for penetrating the defense. Takenzie is also a really good rebounder and perimeter defender.
