- 1/29/24 vs Muscatine High School – 26 Points (12-18), 6 Rebounds, 7 Assists, 1 Block, 3 TO’s
Kyra Taylor is an underrated talent throughout the state of Iowa and I think that during the next few weeks, she is going to have a chance to show the entire state that she is the real deal. Taylor is a college committed athlete to continue her basketball path at the next level and she has also has been a consistent producer for her Davenport North Wildcats team over the past few seasons. On Monday Night, Taylor and the Wildcats faced off against Muscatine High School in an intense battle. In the end, Taylor finished with 26 Points (12-18), 6 Rebounds, 7 Assists, and 1 Block. As you can see, she definitely filled up the stat sheet in an efficient way in this one. No matter what her coach was asking of her, she was going to produce in someway and she did just that. Like I hinted to above, this team should get a shot to make it to State during the Playoffs this season. If their stars stay locked in and everyone else steps up to fill the shoes of their injured players, they could have a run to remember over the next few weeks.

compete 2 or 3 times over the past few seasons but every time I see her, she seems to get exponentially better than the time before. Taylor is a 5’10 forward with a balanced mixture of athleticism and skill. She moves down the floor in a flash with her big strides and is efficient when she catches near the basket. This winter at Davenport North high school, Taylor is going to be a big part of their success. A program that has two Top 50 players in the COUNTRY in

, will need a third player on the court to help them out when things get tight. After this high school season concludes Taylor is committed to attend McKendree University in Lebanon, Illinois. This program will take the high motor of Taylor and put it to good use. If they can unlock her full potential, everyone should watch out because I don’t think we have even gotten close to what that could be just yet.
