Walker has had an excellent first half of travel ball season for John McGraw’s Southeast United Elite team. Walker’s size, skill, and versatility allow her to play four positions competently and effectively. Like Lunsford Walker has the ability to make plays for herself or her teammates on the offensive end and is a true scoring threat inside and out.

Walker fills up the stat sheet with versatility and athleticism. The lengthy forward comfortably slides between multiple positions because of her guard skills and overall mobility. Lauryn rebounds aggressively, blocks shots and forces turnovers using her length and instincts defensively.

Offensively, she’s most effective around the paint where her athleticism shines, but she also flashes strong passing vision and improving perimeter touch. Walker sets a solid base on her jumper and likes attacking from the corners where she can either knock down threes or drive gaps. Her versatility gives coaches lineup flexibility while her activity level impacts every area of the game.

Walker showed the ability to contribute in a lot of ways, using her 5’10 frame to impact the game. She rebounded well, defended both perimeter and interior matchups, and stayed involved without forcing action. Walker scored from different areas, including the perimeter looks, on the inside, and made sound decisions in transition—whether pushing the ball, making the extra pass, or finishing plays. Her versatility allowed her to contribute where needed and highlighted her versatility as a player.

Lauryn is a very unique player that has the ability to play the 1-4 in high school making her one of the most versatile and valuable players in her class in Georgia. She has a smoothness to her game, doing everything well while making it look easy. She is long and wiry with good athleticism and knows the game well. She impacted the games I watched on both ends, scoring, defending, and rebounding the ball at a high clip. She is very good pushing the ball in transition with excellent vision and passing ability. She is a stat sheet stuffer and a mismatch as a result of her skill, athleticism, and high basketball intelligence. She is also a very coachable kid that comes from a winning high school program. She will be a solid player on the college level in a little over a year. I expect her stock to continue to rise heading into her senior year where she has a very good chance to lead Brunswick on a state championship in her last season.

Walker has a smooth, refined offensive package which makes her a threat to get a big number scoring the ball at anytime. Physically she is very gifted and those skills compliment her size very well. Walker can be a matchup nightmare for opposing forwards with her ability to handle the ball and stretch the floor shooting as well as producing in the paint scoring the ball at the rim. She did an excellent job on the boards for Brunswick in round one finishing the game with eight points and 11 rebounds. Walker and Gilbert will be key factors in how far Brunswick advances in this year’s tournament.

An athletic forward that fills up the box score. Walker can play the 3 or 4 and even slide to the 2 with her guard skills. She rebounds, blocks shots and forces turnovers with her length. Offensively, she’s at her best around the paint but also shows vision as a passer.

Holds upside to become a gamechanger on defense. Long and athletic. Does well moving her feet on drives and closes possessions with blocks or rebounds. Plays on the perimeter. Swingman starts her shot from her chest but is a good enough jump shooter to keep defenses honest. I like when she’s aggressive as a slasher and offensive rebounder.

Athletic forward has the versatility to play either the 3 or the 4. Guard skills are fluid and good enough to play some at the 2 if needed. Fills up the box score using her length and motor. Rebounds, blocks shots and forces turnovers. At her best offensively when scoring in the paint. Sees the floor well as a passer. Built for transition and a full court game.

Lauryn Walker Lauryn Walker 5'11" | SF/PF Brunswick | 2027 State GA displayed her versatile game all weekend. She impressed coaches with her ability to start the break, run the break, and finish the break. Her ability to play inside – posting up smaller guards was on display and she showed the versatility to step outside and knock down the three point shot. She is a player who can do it all and is a selfless team player.

Lauren Walker played well at the Florida Brawl. She played strong on the blocks and was effective at getting to the rim. Walker is athletic, has good footwork, and she is agile. On Saturday, Walker also showed an ability to attack the rim when facing the basket and showed some nice footwork when playing on t the blocks with her back to the basket.
