Optimism that she is going to step into her Junior year with some momentum moving into the high school season! Robinson checks off a lot of boxes on the hardwood when it comes to the fundamentals of the game. She can outpace anyone that matches up with her because of her athletic ability. That’s the stuff that helps her pack the stat sheet here and there. Within Elkhorn North’s system, Robinson could be good for 8-10 points again while running the floor. If she continues to grind throughout the season, she could be someone we hear about more and more over the next two years.

Robinson is an ultra-athletic, State Championship runner, who understands how to push her opponent into uncomfortable situations or decisions. Throughout a contest she slowly starts to take away the space between her and her opponent, turning up the pressure as the games presses on. This leads to steals, tips, and deflections of all sorts by Robinson and her Elkhorn North teammates, which usually leads to easy buckets down on the other end. Robinson is going to be a name we speak on several more times before her high school career comes to a close. Especially if she keeps working hard on her weaknesses in her off-seasons.

From what I’ve seen this past year, Leah Robinson Leah Robinson 5'6" | SG Elkhorn North | 2027 State NE is someone that has a lot of promise in different aspects of the game. Robinson is a hustler. Someone that never gives up on a player, she competes with elite defense, and she can produce without the ball in her hands. Not to mention, she is always one of the first on the floor for a loose ball if the opportunity presents itself. My challenge for Robinson over the next few years with be on the offensive side of things. She understands situations well, she knows how to compete, she just needs to continue to work on her scoring ability against elite defender. If she does that, the sky is truly the limit. She is also a noteworthy athlete on the track field so at the end of the day, she will most likely have to decide which sport she would like to compete in at the next level but that is a very good problem to have.
