is going to surprise a lot of people the next two years at the high school level with Elkhorn North. Lake, a 5’9 CG, can really do it all at the guard position. She can play PG and run the offense, she can create for herself from the 2, or she can make to the 3 and kill her matchup with her active feet/quick hands. Wayne State recently stepped in this past week and offered Lake. I personally love the offer for both parties. Wayne State just signed a new HC and he is going hard after talent in state in Nebraska, something I LOVE to see. It’s smart and in the long run, it’s going to payoff for the program in a bunch of positive ways. As for Lake, now the real work starts. It’s always awesome to receive an offer, it’s a big accomplish but job is not finished. Still a lot of work to be done.

and what she can bring to the floor. First off, she has a pass first ability once she takes her defender off the dribble and that stands out. She is always looking to help out and facilitate for the others around her. Next, she is pretty skilled across the board. Nothing too crazy but better than your average for this age level. Lastly, her mindset and positive attitude help the team she is on, win consistently. At the end of the day, this is an interesting prospect in general but one that can do some great things throughout the rest of high school and maybe even into the next level.

a handful of times up until this point but she is another prospect from the 2027 Class, that is playing up and I’m expecting a lot out of her this AAU season. To make this program and to play up at the UAA level is impressive to say the least. Lake brings to the floor length, a shooting stroke, and some great defense against other like-size Guards. She has demonstrated that she has quick side-to-side movement and coordination to pair along with all of that. She can be placed on a smaller PG and stick with that, dominating with her length or she can stay on another long Guard and use her physical size to compete. This team is one that is going to have a lot of longer prospects, who can really shoot the ball. If they work on pushing the rock up the floor in transition into their offense, this team is going to score a lot of buckets this AAU season, Lake being included in that conversation.
