Lucas was the player to step into Tualatin’s starting five after Smith’s departure, and she has seized the opportunity. With the increased role, she has showcased her long-range marksmanship as the Timberwolves’ leading three-point shot-taker and shotmaker. She has one of the quickest releases I’ve ever seen and is undeterred by closeouts. She plays much bigger than her 5’8″ size, which has enabled Wes Pappas to use her as more of a stretch forward than a guard. Her tendency to grab offensive rebounds and go right back up with a shot results in tons of free throws, which she knocks down at a high rate. This is a senior who deserves way more recruiting attention, and a first-team nod may be the boost she needs.

Lucas has been consistently winning offensive boards and knocking down three-pointers. She put up double-digit scoring through three Holiday Classic Diamond bracket games. She averaged 12 points (shooting 44% from the field), 3 three-pointers made, and 5.3 rebounds per game at the tournament.

She’s a steady defender, consistently closing out on the perimeter and winning the inside position for the steal or rebound on the weakside. The Tualatin junior (2026) and 6A state champion averaged 8 points and 5 rebounds per game last season. She’s been putting in the work this spring, developing her skills alongside some of Oregon’s top talent at competitive grassroots tournaments around the nation.
