About Mackenzie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a high-IQ player who anticipates plays, controls the tempo, and makes smart, unselfish decisions. I take pride in creating opportunities for teammates, as shown by my assist numbers, and I’m a strong communicator both on and off the court.”

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a team-first player who brings high energy, positivity, and support to my teammates. I stay calm under pressure and focus on making the right decisions for the team. I’m also committed to improving my mental toughness and continuing to grow in challenging situations

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Academic awards including maintaining my 4.0 GPA.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve learned the importance of managing my own emotions and handling pressure in order to lead effectively. I’m a strong communicator on the court and work to set the tone for my team by leading by example. I’m also very coachable and always open to feedback, using it as an opportunity to grow and improve.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

When I first started playing basketball, I was undersized and had to adjust my game. Over the past year, I’ve grown significantly, and as a freshman I was placed in a starting center position—something completely new to me. Adjusting to a new role on the court was a challenge, but it pushed me to become more versatile and well-rounded as a player.

What type of college are you looking for?

Currently, I am very interested in Bio-Med programs. I am wanting to go for my bachelor's in bio-med and continue on for my master's degree.
