About Mackenzie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I have a huge basketball IQ. I am one that can recognize plays before they happen, make intelligent passes and kjnow how to control the tempo. I am a huge team player and know when to pass the ball, which is evident of my assists. I am a huge communicator on the court and on the bench.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a team player with high energy, positive vibes and am a supportive team mate. I am able to calm under pressure and make good decisions for the team on the court. I am working on my mental toughness and learning different techniques to handle certain situations,

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Academic awards including maintaining my 4.0 GPA.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have learned throughout the years that I need to manage and hanle my own emotions and stressors before attempting to lead a team. I am extremely communicative on the court and attempt to set the example and the atmosphere of the team by leading by example. I am open to being coached and will always accept feedback in ways to improve.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

When I originally started basketball, I was small. Throughout this past year, I grew a lot! When starting my freshman year this year, they put me in a center position as a starter which was a whole new experience and position. I want to be well rounded on the court, but this was a challenge for me this year.

What type of college are you looking for?

Currently, I am very interested in Bio-Med programs. I am wanting to go for my bachelor's in bio-med and continue on for my master's degree.
