Stewart is a special athlete! Despite the loss, Maddy filled up the entire stat sheet again. She finished the game with 18 points, 13 rebounds, 1 steal, 2 assists, and 1 big time block! The double-double machine made it look easy. She works incredibly hard on every possession. I love how she positions herself to get offensive and defensive rebounds. She was scoring in numerous ways during the game against GP. This one is hard to stop! She continues to be a solid two-way player with an extremely high motor!

Maddy’s had numerous double-doubles this season and she flirted with another one by scoring 6 points and hauling in 8 rebounds. She also added to her block total by getting two more in the win against Gatlinburg-Pittman. Stewart is an outstanding two way player that continues to fill up an entire stat sheet. The dual sport athlete continues to impress! I love the heart and dedication that Maddy has to be great at both softball and basketball. On 10/3/24, Maddy wrote, “I have loved two sports my whole life. A lot of people have pushed me to pick one, telling me if I didn’t I would likely not get good enough to play at the next level.” Let’s add that Maddy did not listen and she chose to excel in both sports. In that same week, Stewart picked up offers to play softball and basketball at the next level. I have a strong feeling that she will continue to pick up more!

The ’26 post will be relied upon to be their inside presence. She’s got great tools, nice hands, and soft touch. She can also stretch the floor a bit. Big upside.

Alcoa has to replace Pfiefer, and Stewart has played well so far this summer. On a team with legit scorers, as long as she can hold up as a defensive and rebounding force, she’ll be a star in her role.

Stewart finished with 5 points and 6 rebounds against Gatlinburg-Pittman. The young sophomore will be a walking double-double next season and her senior season! Stewart and Carroll are true stock risers and I expect the recruitment journey to soon take off for both of them!

Stewart continues to give Oak Ridge really valuable minutes as they seem to have all the tools for a deep run. Their depth has been superb, and Steward is a great example of that. She finished with 8 points, 6 rebounds, 2 blocks and a steal in Tuesday’s senior night win.
Amelia Pfeiffer had 9 points, 12 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 blocks in a dominant performance in limited minutes.

is the first option on this talented Alcoa team. However, the rest of the young Alcoa athletes can step up and do what is needed at any time. Put Stewart on your radar ASAP! She plays exceptionally well in the high low! She cuts to the basket stronger than most young athletes that I’ve watched. Actually, she is one of the top players that I have watched pass and relocate. Maddy makes college ready plays and she is only a sophomore! Stewart continues to impress on the court against tough competition! She is one of the best rebounders in our state and I won’t be surprised when you see this one averaging a double-double in future seasons! Recruit

She’s recorded one double-double so far and don’t be surprised when she walks away with more! This young sophomore continues to be a great rebounder!
