Madeline Pavelka Madeline Pavelka CG Marion | 2025 IA of Marion High School was a staple for her team last Winter, moving all around the floor from the inside to the outside. Pavelka returns to the Wolves lineup this Winter after averaging just under 12 PPG on 44% shooting, while also securing over 7 RPG. She was a leader on her team that produced in big ways during her Junior year and after committing to Wartburg in the off-season, I’m sure she is even more locked in mentally to put together a great Winter. She will be the player that is looked upon to step up to make a stop or to create something out of nothing if her team’s offense happens to break down. That makes her extremely vital to their process, when taking a step back and looking at the big picture of their program.

Maddie Pavelka is a mismatch nightmare for the Marion Wolves. The combo guard has a quick trigger (and a nice one at that), is comfortable shooting in traffic, and will hit shots in the midrange. What really impressed me about her game though is her assertion in the paint. She’s not afraid to back down defenders and has a great array of moves on the block. Averaging 11.7PPG, 7.1RPG and 2.8APG, Pavelka will be a player to watch again this year in the WaMaC.

At the beginning of the 2024 AAU season this Spring, we talked about how the Iowa Dream 2025 program out of Cedar Rapids was going to have all of their prospects committed by the time they became Seniors in high school and they have recently had another prospect commit as of late. This time is Maddie Pavelka of Marion High School. Pavelka is a guard, that is going to be a solid producer at the next level if she is put in the correct situation. Pavelka has recently committed to Wartburg to continue on her basketball career following this Winter. An opportunity she is sure to make the most of!

The more that I watch Madeline Pavelka Madeline Pavelka CG Marion | 2025 IA ‘s play-style, the most I fall in love with it. Pavelka can really do it all from everything I have seen over the past few months. She has size to dominate her matchup inside the lane, she is skilled enough to step up and knock down shots from both the midrange and behind the three point line, and she is a willing and very able passer whenever the defense wants to bring a double-team. I’m not going to lie, I hadn’t seen Pavelka prior to this High School season but now that I have, I would be SHOCKED if she didn’t have a college offer after these next few months. She is the real deal and she is only going to get better with experience.
