About Mya

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Floor general point guard always looking to push the ball up the floor in transition, able to initiate offense, create for others first while looking for own scoring opportunities. Break down defender off the dribble and knock down open 3s from long range. I am a good on ball defender and always willing to help off the ball and understand off ball defensive rotations.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am an extremely competitive player willing to do whatever it takes to win. Team first player always looking to make everyone around me better. Fun loving and goofy until its time to turn the switch on.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

A/B Honor Roll

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Having played point guard position I understand the leadership responsibility the comes with this position. Being able to openly talk with, give feedback and constructive criticism to teammates is something that I have grown to to enjoy.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have had to overcome a pulled hamstring and hurt ankle. Being on the sidelines while my teammates area playing wasnt easy but it taught me how to be a good teammate no matter what.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking to play for a college in a city environment that I am familiar with but not limited to that. A college with a coach who believes in my abilities.
