About Rhyan

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a 5’10 combo guard who loves playing both ends of the floor. I pride myself on my handle and being able to create for myself and my teammates. I can score at all three levels, but I’m just as focused on making the right read and setting up others. I see the game well, look to make the extra pass, and always try to do what my team needs to win.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a team-first player who brings energy and positivity to every game and practice. I love communicating, encouraging my teammates, and keeping everyone locked in. At the same time, I’m highly competitive and focused — I’ll do whatever it takes to help my team win

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’m involved with Fellowship of Christian Athletes, which has helped me grow as a leader on and off the court. I also work part-time in our family business, where I get to help younger athletes build their skills and love for the game.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed leadership and communication skills by being a vocal teammate and encouraging others on and off the floor. Playing basketball has also strengthened my teamwork and decision-making, while my work with younger athletes has taught me patience, responsibility, and the importance of giving back.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that will challenge me to grow as both a player and a person, while preparing me for my future beyond basketball. I want to be part of a program that feels like family, where I can contribute to something special and continue to develop and excel in my game.

Rhyan was a dynamic scorer for Team 6 at the Sophomore ID Camp. She shifted into a higher gear when she attacked the basket. Rhyan went by to score a soft floater off the glass and changed direction suddenly with a crossover while driving full speed downhill for a left-handed finish. Rhyan was a perimeter threat, drilling smooth three-pointers from the corner and the slot. She crashed hard to grab offensive rebounds, created space from defenders with shifty inside-out dribbles, and converted layups. She was one of the most accurate perimeter shooters during the drills and earned recognition as a Top Performer.
