Ryenn was a game wrecker for Mystics 17U S40 in the Gold Championship Game. College coaches lined the baseline, and Ryenn played like a scholarship was on the line–her motor kept running at full tilt all game, ultimately ending in an offer from Hope College. She closed out full speed to disrupt perimeter shooters and emphatically swatted a shot attempt in the lane with aggression. There was one play where Ryenn closed out from the paint to force a shooter on the wing to pass to the corner, then immediately raced over and kept that player from getting a shot away. She stepped outside to drain a corner three, corralled many rebounds on both ends, distributed passes effectively to open teammates, finished at the rim comfortably using either hand, converted free throws at the line, and scored putbacks. Ryenn made a smooth transfer to her left for an and-one layup, then completed the three-point play at the line. Her complete performance helped the team win the Gold Championship and led to MVP recognition.

Ryenn, a post player for the Mystics, turned in a dominant performance during the MI College Tour III stop at Grand Valley on Saturday. She controlled the glass, rebounding at a high rate and consistently creating extra possessions for her team. Defensively, she anchored the paint as an elite rim protector, altering and contesting shots throughout. On the offensive end, she showed versatility with the ability to score both inside and step out to contribute beyond the paint. Her strong weekend performance is sure to elevate her stock, and she added to it by picking up an offer from Hope College.

Ryenn was the most dominant forward in the gym at the P2W Headliners Invitational Showcase, resulting in an All-Showcase First Team selection and an offer from Lake Michigan College. She received Flint Metro League All-Conference First Team honors, averaging 12.6 points, seven rebounds, and 5.5 blocks per game for the Eagles. She became the 23rd player in MHSAA history to surpass 300 career blocks and has continued to perform at a high level to start the AAU season. Ryenn was a Top Performer at the PGH MI College Tour with Mystics 17U S40, finishing well in the paint, protecting the rim, and securing rebounds on both ends. Her performance against high-level forwards during the tournament, unique mobility/length, and fundamental skills solidified her place in the top 25.

Ryenn dominated at the Headliners Invitational, and she established her ranking in the top 25 by excelling in the paint against 6-foot-plus athletic, high-level forwards during the PGH MI College Tour. She didn’t back down from contact, demonstrated excellent footwork, and finished difficult shots in the paint with touch. Ryenn protected the basket, blocking shots, including one swat that could be heard on the opposite side of the gym. She worked hard to secure defensive rebounds and maneuvered into position for offensive rebounds. Ryenn sealed off defenders to create a passing lane for entry passes and sprinted the floor to score in transition. She finished effectively inside off two feet, dropped in a floater, and scored multiple layups with her left. The length, fundamentals, IQ, and effort are all there.

Ryenn was the top-ranked forward prospect coming into the P2W Headliners Invitational Showcase, and she proved it on the court with Team Fever. Ryenn owned the paint, rebounding and finishing inside at will. Her length, mobility, footwork, and skill set her apart. Ryenn caught an entry pass with soft hands in the low post, spun, and converted the contested layup with ease. She maneuvered into position, secured several offensive rebounds, and scored putbacks. Ryenn attacked downhill off the dribble, switched hands in the lane, and kicked the ball out to open shooters. She closed out hard to block a shot on the perimeter and deflected passes. Ryenn cut backdoor to score a layup off two feet and changed directions with a spin dribble to drive by for a layup, and showed her outside range by drilling a straightaway three. Her dominant performance earned All-Showcase First Team recognition.

Ryenn received Flint Metro League First Team All-Conference recognition for the third straight season, averaging 12.6 points, seven rebounds, and 5.5 blocks per game. She’s mastered the art of the swat and is one of 23 in MHSAA history with 300 blocks in a career. Ryenn’s height, length, mobility, and versatility make her one of the most unique prospects in this class. She fits multiple levels of college basketball as a 4 or 5 and keeps progressing as a three-point shooter. Ryenn knocked down multiple shots from beyond the arc in the last game I watched her play. I’ve seen Ryenn high point a defensive rebound and push it the length of the court for a fastbreak layup. She’ll be a premier forward prospect for college coaches to watch at the Headliners Invitational Showcase. Ryenn attended the inaugural event back in 2023, and I’m thrilled to see her again on Sunday!

Ryenn has unique length, mobility, and leaping ability as a forward. She closes passing windows, driving lanes, and limits high percentage scoring chances with her aggressive closeouts. Ryenn blocked her 300th career shot last week, a milestone only 22 girls have accomplished in MHSAA history.

Ryenn is a long, mobile, athletic, and versatile forward prospect. She’s developed her perimeter game and showed confidence as a three-point shooter when I watched her play for Linden in early December. Ryenn can push the ball up the court using both hands and finish in traffic. She’s an excellent post defender, and her length limits scoring chances. Ryenn has good shot-blocking instincts and rebounds the ball at its highest point.

Ryenn covered ground in a hurry with her long strides, which made her very effective at defending space. She blocked many shots around the basket, including back-to-back swats on the same possession. Ryenn’s unique mobility and length challenged direct passes to forwards in the high/low post. She was an active rebounder and converted contested floaters in the paint. Ryenn showed off her vertical by high-pointing a missed free throw to secure the offensive rebound and then finished high off two feet. She quickly moved laterally to cut off the ball, forcing a travel violation. Ryenn jumped up to snag a defensive board, pushed it the other way, and buried a deep wing jumper. Ryenn blocked a step-through and chased down a drive from behind for another block. One of her best plays was a coast to coast and-one layup with her left hand to start the second quarter and a deep wing three to end the game. Ryenn led the Eagles on opening night with 15 points and is a dual-sport prospect who hasn’t hit her ceiling yet.

Becher can put on a.clinic with her defense around the rim! Her length brings serious headaches to opponents in how it alters shots, on along with her on ball pressure. Excellent job cutting to the basket, the backboard is her best friend, and she can rebound with her eyes closed! (Below on defense)
