It was as if a light went off inside Busser and she began attacking the rim and showing she could score through physicality. Busser has always bee a force behind the arc, but it was her play at the rim that turned heads. Her quickness, determination, and physicality were the game changers for Busser.

She has recently started to showcase her ability to handle the ball, attack the rim, and finish through contact. She recently picked up a Division II offer, and I foresee this opening the floodgates for the rest of her recruitment.

Talia does a great job of setting up the offense and playing with patience. Her unselfishness and strength with the ball make her a fantastic lead guard. She can score it from all three levels and shot it well from deep in Gainesville. I was really impressed with her hesi move and also her shiftiness with the ball in her hand to change speed and direction quickly while using fakes to fool the defense. Talia will make the hustle plays and give you 110% on both sides of the ball.

Don’t let her size fool you—she doesn’t mind using her strong frame to box out taller defenders so her teammates can secure the rebound. Combine all of that with her high basketball IQ, and you’ve got a player who can make an impact anytime she’s on the floor.

Six times she had at least 4 threes and had at least three games with 5 or more. She is an X Factor as well. A flurry of threes in the final four is something she js more than capable of doing. Busser shot the three ball at a 42 percent accuracy rate. The guard has always been a shooter and she will be poised to let it fly on the big stage.

Cardinal Mooney is ranked 11th in the state, proving that Talia has performed against tough competition. She has recorded multiple games with four or more three-pointers, with her best performance coming on December 9th, when she went 6-for-9 from beyond the arc. Talia is also aware of defenses keying in on her, demonstrating the ability to make the right passes to get her teammates open. She is averaging 1.8 assists per game, with multiple games recording three or more assists.

Everytime she came down the court the opposing coach was yelling “watch Busser”. Busser still managed to knock down 3 or 4 threes and put the dagger in the heart of the opponent. Busser was one of the top three point shooters in the building, again! Yes, the expression is becoming trite. Busser has solidified herself as one of the top shooters in the State. Get use to the opposing team game planning for her. She moves well without the ball and has great timing of when to make her move. Busser gets the shot off fast and with confidence. She also has the ability to rip to the midrange shot and shoot the floater.

I can’t say it enough, but Talia is automatic with her jump shot. The 5’4 guard is averaging just under 11 points per game while shooting 45% from the field and 43% from three with over 44 attempts on the season. She is doing this against some of the best teams not just in the state, but the country. Busser plays her absolute best when the competition and pressure is at its highest, she proved that by taking home MVP honors for the Cougars at the Battle of the K tournament last week.
