Zion was effective at DMV Live with St. Frances, finishing with 11 points and 6 rebounds against GBB School and 13 points with 3 boards against Potomac School. She was at her best cutting to the basket, where she consistently found openings and finished through contact multiple times. Zion also showed the ability to stretch the floor, making a three-pointer in all but one game at DMV Live and also knocking one down at The Summit with Team Thrill. She will need to continue raising the intensity with her on-ball defense as she prepares for the next level, but her production and steady growth were hard to ignore. Her strong performances helped her rise 32 spots, moving up to No. 46 in the rankings.

Zion being a freshman on one of the Baltimore area’s finest programs gave her an opportunity to get accustomed to the speed and physicality of high school basketball while carrying a 3.25 gpa. She should fall into a leadership role on the Team Thrill 15U squad.
