Good Counsel is still a tough team to play even without Chloe Chapman.
Jessica TomasettiThe Falcons have a huge void to fill losing University of Georgia commit Chloe Chapman for the season. They seemed to struggle initially against Life Center (NJ) looking for some type offense trailing 14- 3 after the first quarter. Without their leader who had just gotten out of surgery to repair a torn labrum they needed someone to take charge. The team started to rally behind point guard Jessica Tomasetti. The junior took the lead and guided Good Counsel from 20 points down to a one point lead with under a minute remaining. Tomasetti scored 17 points and her teammates Zahra Barnes and Jalyn Carmichael made plays on both ends in the comeback. Life Center eventually won the game on a buzzer beater but, Coach Kimbrough’s Falcons made a statement that even without Chapman they will compete to the end in every game.
