Jameson MottJameson Mott – Guard/Forward – Evergreen
Jameson has made a name for herself as one of the top scorers in her class. She is currently ranked third in the state in scoring average with 15.4 points a game. She is shooting 59% from three and 78% from the free-throw line. She also possesses the skill to create space off the dribble, making her a danger from the elbow and the perimeter. Keep an eye out for Jameson Mott.
Nevaeh GoldenNevaeh Golden – Guard – Denver East
Nevaeh is possibly one of the better point guards in her class. She brings an energy to the court that enables her to control the pace of the game. She is currently ranked 19th in her class in scoring average with 11.4 points a game. She is also averaging 4.3 steals per game, solidifying herself as a dominant player on defense as well as offense. The sky seems to be an understatement when attempting to identify Nevaeh Golden‘s limit.
Brooke MurrellBrooke Murrell – Center/Forward – Thomas Jefferson
Brooke is leading her class in total points with 161 on the season so far, putting her average at 13.4 a game. Listed at 6’1”, it should come as no surprise that she is averaging 9.8 rebounds a game. She has posted six double-doubles and been named player of the game five times this season so far. Brooke Murrell is a dual-sport athlete, volleyball, whose name is a must know.
Brooke MeeksBrooke Meeks – Guard – Arvada West
Although she may not be at the top of the stat list in her class, Brooke is a definite standout. This 5’8” guard plays with a level of awareness that is rarely matched by upperclassmen with more experience. She is a great perimeter player on offense and defense. Her ability to disrupt the passes of her opponents is a result of her length mixed with her knack of knowing where to be and why. Brooke Meeks plays as if she studies game film, a rarity as a freshman.
Mia WeltyMia Welty – Forward – Erie
Unlike the other players on this list, Mia has yet to get her chance to play against varsity competition. With the amount of talent coming out of Erie, this is no shocker. However, there should be no doubt that Mia will use her speed and size to be just as dominant of a player on varsity as she is on JV. On defense, she uses her length, size, and strength in the post to frustrate her opponents. Her ability to disrupt passes and block shots seem advanced for a freshman. She is also a strong scorer, especially at the rim. Expect for Mia Welty to be another unstoppable addition to Erie’s powerful arsenal.
