Sydney Gueterman | Ardrey Kell | F 2023
Gueterman shows that she is a hard worker with the way she hustled after every loose ball diving on the floor and going after rebounds. She is very strong with the ball keeping it out of the reach of her defenders and making it impossible to punch out of her hands. She has a nice jump shot and can post up underneath to score her points. She follows every shot, especially on defense when she makes sure the opposing team doesn’t have a second chance to score. She is a tenacious defender making it difficult to score against her.
Tatum Postel Tatum Postel 5'11" | SF Catawba Ridge | 2023 State SC | Catawba Ridge | G 2023
Postel has a very nice shot from all over the court. She stays ready to show off her shot, and she can be lethal from behind the arc. That isn’t her only asset, though, because she wreaks havoc on defense. Her length is difficult to get by for other players, especially with her being able to jump into passing lanes or in front of a shot to increase her block statistics. She is a player who is always aware of where she is on the court like using the sidelines as extra defenders or spinning for a jump shot and knowing exactly how far away she is from the basket.
Sarah Evans | Ardrey Kell | G/F 2023
Standing at 5’10,” Evans can do a little bit of everything on the court. She showed some nice ball handling skills that she used to create separation for her jump shot even hitting several behind the arc. She can also post up underneath, and she is aggressive on defense making sure her opponents do not have their way in the paint. She crashes the boards after every shot in search of the rebound.
Riley Smith | Marvin Ridge | PG 2023
Smith continues to show off what she can do in possession of the basketball. She has very nice handles, and she knows how to use them to get by opponents. She sees the floor well making excellent passes to her teammates to get them involved or driving the ball all the way to the hoop herself. She is constantly moving, and she comes into the passes when they are coming to her. On defense, she uses her speed and agility to keep guards in front of her unable to make any plays by her.
Morgan Davis | Catawba Ridge | G 2024
Davis played very well against older athletes in the scrimmage showing that she fits right in with her basketball IQ. She was creating opportunities to show off her shot including several from downtown. She made excellent cuts in the gaps on defense, too, knowing exactly where to move to make a contribution for her team. She also pushed the ball up the court herself after grabbing rebounds on defense. She certainly has an exciting future ahead.
