Well, the Prep Hoops Michigan Top 250 Expo will have a lot of talented post players to see. Let’s look at some of those athletes that will be in attendance on Sunday.
Kara Bartels Kara Bartels 6'3" | PF Zeeland West | 2023 State MI (2023, 6’3″, F/C, Zeeland West)
Bartlels has an incredibly high ceiling as a prospects. She can get down the floor in transition and is a rim protector on defense. Bartels has soft but secure hands when she has the ball in the post. College coaches really need to see her play on Sunday.
Faith Carson Faith Carson 6'4" | C Buchanan | 2023 State MI (2023, 6’4″, C, Buchanan)
Carson had a monster summer and cemented herself among the top 100 prospects in the country. She is an absolute force on the glass on both ends. Carson runs the floor well and has nice vision on the pass. This skills allow her to play at any pace.
Emily Dixon Emily Dixon PF Chippewa Valley | 2021 State MI (2021, 6’1″, PF, Chippewa Valley)
Dixon is a must see senior for any coach searching out talent in the paint. She’s created a niche as a defensive specialist. Dixon walls up on the defensive end and alters shot on a regular basis. Her offensive game is developing quickly and she has a high ceiling for a coach at the next level.
Zoe Spoelman (2022, 6’1″, C, Grand Haven)
Spoelman is an incredibly skilled post player that will make noise at the Top 250. She really works the paint and finds ways to attack her opponents under the rim. Spoelman seems to consistently get good looks at the basket and she shoots a high percentage in part because of that.
Madisen Wardell Madisen Wardell 6'0" | PF Detroit Edison | 2022 State MI (2022, 6’1″, PF, Detroit Edison)
Wardell is a must see prospect for D1 coaches. She has a list of interest and offers from Division 1 schools, but I still feel like she’s under rated. Wardell is a smooth forward with body control under the rim. She has ball skills that allows her to pull post players out of the paint.
