<p style="text-align: center;"><strong>Pocahontas Area Indians</strong> 14-8 last year 9 returning players</p> Pocahontas Area was right there with state champion Newell-Fonda and Emmetsburg in the race for the Twin Lakes Conference title last year. The Indians will look to record another high finish behind returning guards [player_tooltip player_id="127611" first="Akaysa" last="Duitscher"] and [player_tooltip player_id="63031" first="Carly" last="Janssen"]. Duitscher posted nearly 12 points per game and Janssen 11 as ninth-graders. However, leading scorers Kimberly Mucia, Sierra Mohs and Kelleigh Martins are all set to return. Mucia scored over eight points per game a year ago as a sophomore with Mohs adding six and Martins just over five. That group was led by [player_tooltip player_id="134331" first="Mallory" last="McDermott"] and [player_tooltip player_id="134335" first="Sidney" last="McCrea"], who must both be replaced along with their nearly 40 points per game. Blount scored 14.5 points per game on nearly 40 percent shooting a year ago, adding 8.5 rebounds. Now, they must replace a very talented senior group that helped lead that charge.
