Kate Hoskins Kate Hoskins 5'6" | SG Wilson Christian Academy | 2023 NC : The 5’6 guard from Wilson Christian Academy helped lead her team to an impressive 27-3 record this season. Not even playing varsity basketball last season, she came in and made a real name for herself. From beyond the arc she converted 38% of her attempts (58 out of 153). Averaging right at 2 made 3’s per contest, she became the player you had to know where she was on the court. Kate leveled up this season and definitely should be on your radar.
Anna Taylor: The 5’8 lefty shooting guard from Princeton high school did not disappoint this season from beyond the arc. Shooting an IMPRESSIVE 61% from 3, knocking down 55 of her 99 attempted. Again she averaged right at 2 made 3’s per contest, and hit 4+ 6 different times. Her impressive season has helped lead her team to the 1A state championship game to be played against Murphy high school. Let’s see if she can level her team up to a state championship.
Cassidy Geddes Cassidy Geddes 5'7" | CG Newton-Conover | 2023 State NC : The 5’6 guard from Newtown-Conover was on another level this season. Going from averaging 7 points per game as a freshman, to averaging 17 as a sophomore. What helped boost that average was her 3 point shooting. Converting 42% of her 3 point attempts (44 out of 106), again a huge bump from last seasons 30%. She was named player of the year for the South Fork conference, such an impressive feat for just a sophomore. She plays AAU for the Lady Attack Elite organization.
Hannah Harrison Hannah Harrison 5'6" | PG South Davidson | 2023 NC : The point guard from South Davidson high school is another player who leveled up this season. Going from 14 points per game as a freshman to 23 points per game this season! Same thing as her peer she bumped up her percentage from beyond the arc from 30% to 40%. On top of being a knock down shooter this season she was her team’s point guard and dished out over 3 assists per game as well. She will keep on leveling up if I had to imagine.
Ja’Kea Brunson Ja’Kea Brunson 5'9" | PG Wayne Country Day | 2023 NC : The 5’8 shooting guard from Wayne Country Day high school has been on the varsity squad since she was in 8th grade, and has leveled up each season. Knocking down 45% of her 84 attempts, helped her averaging over 22 points a game. A bump from last seasons 37% from 3 and only 19 points. She is a player who levels up each year and in more than just her shooting abilities. She really helps lead her team in every stat she can, and makes an impact every minute she is on the floor.
