2022’s That We Want To See At The Prep Hoops Top 250 – Part 1
Na’kiya Bonner Na’kiya Bonner 5'6" | PG Detroit Edison | 2024 State MI (PG, Detroit Edison)
Bonner is the showstopper type player that fans of the game want to see. She’d be a walking highlight reel at the event. Bonner is magical with the ball and we all want to see the magician.
Jaidyn Elam Jaidyn Elam 5'9" | CG Detroit Country Day | 2024 State MI (CG, Detroit Country Day)
Elam is a tremendous talent that D1’s want at the Top 250. She can play on and off the ball and has a basketball IQ beyond her years. Elam is one of the more efficient scorers that you can find.
Faith Jungwirth Faith Jungwirth 6'0" | SF Lansing Catholic | 2024 State MI (PF, Okemos)
Jungwirth has saved the best for last. She’s ended the summer on a tear, playing her best basketball when the stakes were the highest. Jungwirth has shown that she can dominate in the paint.
Yasmin Palmer (PF, Cranbrook-Kingswood)
Palmer is one of the top ranked post players in the class and she could send a big message in Grand Rapids. I really like her upside and want to see her match her skills at the Top 250.
Sarah Rekowski Sarah Rekowski 6'3" | C Hartland | 2024 State MI (C, Hartland)
Rekowski seems to be next man up in the paint at Hartland. I like the way she moves under the rim and slides over smoothly to provide help defense. Rekowski will have coaches eyes on her at the event.
Leah Richards Leah Richards 6'0" | PF Lansing Catholic | 2024 State MI (PF, Lansing Catholic)
Richards is a prospect that a lot of coaches may want to take advantage of the opportunity to watch her play. She’s terrific on the glass on both ends of the floor. Richards limits posessions for her opponent.
Christian Sanders Christian Sanders 5'7" | PG Detroit Renaissance | 2024 State MI (PG, Detroit Renaissance)
Every coach want their floor general, and this is a great one. She has a quick first step and can pressure the defense with the ball. Sanders is a well schooled and intense defender as well.
Brook Simpson Brook Simpson 5'10" | SG Saugatuck | 2024 State MI (SG, Belding)
Simpson began her ascent up the prospect rankings at the Top 250 last year. That ascent hasn’t stopped either. Simpson is drawing the eye of D1 schools at all levels. We’ll need extra seats by the court she’s on.
Ashley Weller Ashley Weller 5'10" | CG Jackson Northwest | 2024 State MI (CG, Jackson Northwest)
I like Weller’s game a lot and next level coaches will too. She’s an underrated all around athlete that carries a jumper with nice range. Weller could really make a statement in Grand Rapids.
Lily Zeinstra Lily Zeinstra 6'0" | PG Byron Center | 2024 State MI (PG, Byron Center)
Zeinstra is one of the best pure shooters in the state. But don’t let that fool you, she’s not just a shooter. Zeinstra can create with the ball as well as start, or finish, a possession with a pinpoint pass.
