Cassidy Geddes Cassidy Geddes 5'7" | CG Newton-Conover | 2023 State NC (Lady Attack Elite, PG, pictured above) showed her defensive side this weekend blocking the path of many opponents. She had a nice no look pass to her teammate who she knew was ready for the shot. She makes moves to throw off her opponents and shift the defense to where she can pass to her open teammates. Her behind the back dribble, especially at full speed, is very difficult to stop. She even showed off her shot blocking ability when she slid into help.
Tatum Bowen Tatum Bowen 5'9" | SF 1 Of 1 Prep Academy | 2023 State NC (Lady Attack Elite, SG) hustles after every loose ball. She is a great decision maker when choosing between her shot, driving, or finding an open teammate for the pass. She does a great job finding her open teammates for the score, and she is persistent when grabbing rebounds to continue possessions.
Olivia Boyce (Lady Attack Elite, PG) is very acrobatic when driving to the basket showing her awareness and knowing how to move to score her points. She makes smart decisions with her passes and knows when to make a dish or show off her shot. She hustles up and down the court making sure her opponents do not have easy fast break points.
Jyana Salton Jyana Salton 5'9" | PG Porter Ridge | 2023 State NC (Charlotte Lady Monarchs, PG) has a nice crossover that seems to throw off her opponents many times in order to show off her shot or drive to the basket. She showed off her range from downtown which she has done consistently. She knows how to push the ball up the court with ease picking up the tempo in games.
Victoria Sagne (Lady Phoenix CBA United Rudd, SG) was another effective scorer getting to the basket or pulling up for her jump shot all over the court. She was speedy with her decisions, and she crashed the boards grabbing rebounds for her team. She boxed out any opponent that was near her to make sure she was the only one able to grab the rebound.
Julia Chapman (Lady Royals, PG) drives hard to the basket timing her moves well to get by her opponents. She follows shots knowing exactly where to grab the rebound. She used a nice shot fake to get around her opponent which resulted in two points for her as she showed off her jump shot. She doesn’t just score near the basket as she can shoot well from behind the arc.
