Here are some under the radar 2025s that you should make sure to see this summer.
Kaylin McKoy is definitely a fun guard to watch with her ability to play well on both ends. She reads her opponents knowing exactly how to mirror her hands blocking their view and their passes grabbing steals. She’s quick handling the ball pushing it up the court, and she makes nice adjustments at the rim to score her points. She can easily set herself up around the perimeter, too, knocking down her shot from deep.
Highlights
Khloe Thompson is tough athlete on both ends of the court, too, and she had an exceptional state championship game with Cannon that she’s taking with her into this travel season. She is a tenacious defender always finding ways to impact plays whether she is knocking the ball away from her opponents or she’s stripping the ball away from guards trying to dribble by her. She’s a three level scorer on offense finding the openings or creating her own space pulling up for the quick jumper.
Highlights
Taylor Hawley has some long range with her shot being able to knock it down easily from beyond the arc, and she can certainly make those halfcourt buzzer beater shots when needed. She has a nice move to get open for the midrange jumper swinging the ball, taking a couple of dribbles, and pulling up on a quick stop making sure she has the open look to get two points. Her leadership is always apparent on the court as well with the way she is constantly talking and encouraging her teammates.
Highlights
Neveah Hines-Bass is always looking for the open play whether she is finding her teammate flashing in the paint or she is finding the open lane to take the ball to the hoop herself. She won’t back down from contact, and she is certain to take advantage of any kind of space knocking her shot down from deep. On defense, she anticipates what her opponents are going to do jumping in front of passes to grab the steal and take it the other direction.
Makenzie Kelly shows off her excellent court vision every time she steps on the court. She has a way of attacking the gaps making defenders close in around her as she makes the dish to her teammates for their own buckets. She can take it all the way to the hoop herself, too, even battling contact when needed. She has some nice range with her shot, too, making sure opponents pay the price for giving her some space. Additionally, she does a nice job pushing the tempo making some nice passes up the court for fast break assists.
