Walters may be one of the most underrated players in North Carolina. She has improved in all areas over this past year from her shooting ability downtown to making amazing passes into her teammates cutting to the basket. She controls the tempo of the game handling the ball as she comes up the court. She anticipates passes on defense grabbing steals to take the other direction.
Dunn has been impressive this summer showing off her ball handling finding ways to make passes into her teammates that seem impossible but prove to be effective. She is a scorer herself getting to the basket showing off ball moves, and she does a great job relocating without the ball to set herself up for some nice shots. She has good size to crash the boards and grab rebounds.
Abriel Thrash
Thrash does a little bit of everything on the court finding ways to contribute no matter where she is. She handles the ball well, can shoot from all over, and crashes the boards going after rebounds. She can create plays just when you think things are breaking down by finding her open teammates or driving to the basket.
Katie Houpt Katie Houpt 5'10" | SF South Mecklenburg | 2022 NC
Houpt has a nice shot from downtown. She likes to show this off to opponents who then try to close out on her quickly. This typically leads to her faking and driving around them to score some points closer to the basket. She runs the floor well making sure to set herself up to score in transition.
Eva Butler Eva Butler 5'6" | SG Providence | 2022 NC
Butler (pictured above) is an excellent defender finding ways to stop her opponents from making any kind of moves to the basket. She has excelled in her ball handling skills showing off her IQ on the court finding her open teammates and knocking down some great shots from deep. She drives the ball without fear of anyone trying to stop her.
Monique Cepeda
Cepeda has already received a handful of offers, and she certainly deserves the recognition. She shoots well from behind the arc, and she makes plays out of nothing it seems. She knows how to move her body to make passes to her teammates no matter what it takes. She finds herself frequently scoring three point plays the old fashioned way battling through contact.
