While they close that chapter, the class of 2025 is going through their final travel season closing their own form of a chapter. Here are some under the radar 2025s that you should make sure to see this summer.
Abigail Brown is someone who knows how to make the right adjustments no matter what her goal is on the court. She can close out quickly on defense blocking shots from anywhere, and she can find her open teammate making a quick, long pass up the court. She knows exactly how to go to work with the ball whether it’s off the dribble making her own plays or grabbing the pass to put up her quick shot.
Highlights
Braelyn Stilwell is a major reason East Burke was in the state championship game this season. Her IQ on the court is what really stands out as she is a point guard who knows how to make her own play, and she can certainly facilitate offensive sets to get the open look to her teammates. She will out hustle anyone getting after loose balls and exploding to the rim to score her own points. Her defense is fun to watch, too, as she doesn’t let anyone get by her.
Highlights
Jamyrah Cherry is very versatile on the court. She can handle the ball and make some plays from around the perimeter like finding her teammate underneath the basket or knocking down a shot from deep. Her size and strength is an asset on the block herself as she can battle against anyone for some boards or use this to her advantage to seal off opponents for her points. She’s disruptive on defense making sure her hands get in the way of her opponents.
Highlights
Alicia McClain is an athlete sure to get you several good statistical categories with each performance. She is a three-level scorer who rebounds well on both ends and likes to block shots using her length. She can elevate over her opponents knocking down shots from deep, and she can attack the basket driving down in the paint to score no matter what hands may be in her face.
Highlights
Morgan Thompson is a very shifty ball handler who uses her quick change of direction moves to get by her defender. She can get all the way to the basket using ball fakes, or she creates plays for her teammates hitting them right where they need the pass. Her on ball defense is sure to come up with steals as she can easily pick the pocket of her opponents getting too comfortable around her.
