A few parents reached out to ask exactly how the rankings are assembled. I have several grassroots coaches, high school coaches and a few college coaches that I send the preliminary rankings to. After I receive them back, I re-do them based on the coaches’ advice. For this particular class, because the top of the list was basically 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d, etc. I reached out to a few scouts around the region with just a blind list (no names) of the top players, their skillsets and their offers to date. That is how it happened. Now, here is a look at the top of the class – gotta get back to answering hate mail.
No. 1 – Keziah Lofton Keziah Lofton 5'11" | CG Bethany | 2025 State OK | 5-11 CG | Bethany | @KeziahLofton32
Keziah is number one and it has been a long journey to get here. I traveled extensively to finally get eyes on her and not depend on only video and man, was it worth it. I was told by several of the coaches that I depend on for advice on the rankings that Keziah is a WNBA player just waiting to get there. Seeing her in person, I don’t think they’re wrong (and neither do about 12 Division-I schools). There just aren’t many players out there who can do what Keziah does – that goes for the classes ahead of her, too. This 2025 class is like no other currently playing in Oklahoma. She is a true three-level scorer who is an absolute bucket-getter. There is a reason that every team she is on takes home a trophy. She wants it and she goes and gets it. Add in her tremendous size and length, her speed and her basketball IQ and you can see what every D-I coach out there is seeing. Keziah is a star and we should all be glad to get to see her play here in Oklahoma for four more years.
No. 2 – Keeley Parks Keeley Parks 5'11" | PG Norman | 2025 State OK | 5-10 CG | Norman | @KeeleyParks04
It says a lot about Keeley that even after she injured her knee, the Division-I offers continued to roll in. Not only is she a great kid, with a great personality – she is a great player and an even better teammate. I have seen her take over games. I have also seen her in games where she is being double teamed constantly and she has done a very good job of getting the ball to the open player. With about eight D-I offers under her belt as a freshman, there is no telling how many more will come in over the next few years. Keeley is a great athlete and I have no doubt that her comeback from a knee injury will not change anything about her style of play. She goes hard and lets her play do the talking. She can score it, pass it and defends at a very high level. As Norman re-loads for another run at that gold ball, Keeley will be a huge part of what they do!
No. 3 – McKenzie Mathurin McKenzie Mathurin 5'10" | CG Broken Arrow | 2025 State OK | 5-10 CG | Broken Arrow | @mathurin2025
Speaking of D-I offers, McKenzie has not only been racking up the D-I offers, she has been bringing them in from conferences as illustrious as the Big Ten! It is all for good reason, too. She is not only a tall guard, she is very, very strong. She is a tremendous teammate and a great communicator on the court. In short, she does everything that a coach could ask of her. Her three-point shot is becoming more and more consistent to go along with her ability to drive to the basket and finish through contact. She has quick hands and does a good job of stepping out to guard the opposing team’s point guard. She forces a lot of steals as her opponent attempts to see over her and she pops the ball loose and takes it the other way for an easy two. Another player who could have very easily been number one, Mathurin continues to impress and it will be fun to see her compete in Oklahoma 6A next season!
