Below I will give some thoughts that pop in my head when thinking Nebraska girls prospects among the recruiting landscape. This will be a quick-hitter with more consistent updates to come. Next up, prepare and preview the Nebraska Showcase at Kearney High School January 8th. I plan on being in attendance.

[player_tooltip player_id="277763" first="Khloe" last="Lemon"] - Khloe hit a game-winning three against the surging Bellevue West team. One of the most notable plays in the early season.

Speaking of Bellevue West, [player_tooltip player_id="319106" first="Athnica" last="Russell-Brown"] is a rising prospect in the 2024 class. She’s been a consistent and legit producer. Also, [player_tooltip player_id="174468" first="Taryn" last="Wharton"] just reached 1,000 career points.
When evaluators on a national scale first think of Nebraska, [player_tooltip player_id="276503" first="Britt" last="Prince"] is most likely their initial thought. She set a school record with 36 points. Last time I checked, she was in the #10-#15 range by ESPN, for top prospects in the nation for the 2024 class. I haven’t been covering the state of Nebraska for a major amount of time, but I can say she can do whatever she wants on the court. Very Very good prospect. Effortless euro-step that makes it easy for her.
Prince’s offseason (what I like to call it) teammate [player_tooltip player_id="276506" first="Doneelah" last="Washington"] is heating up as a legitimate top-end prospect in the 2024 class. She’s probably #2 behind Prince at this point.
Shuffling through three states, I’ve only seen Fremont play once, but [player_tooltip player_id="278024" first="McKenna" last="Murphy"] is breaking out and can be considered as a Top 5 2024 prospect in Nebraska. A prospect that checks all the recruiting boxes.
Millard North is a team I’ve seen 2-3 times by memory. Sara Haley stands out. She’s making a name for herself as a threat and will be a career scorer.
[player_tooltip player_id="336031" first="Sara" last="Harley"] - 5’10 G 2025 - Millard North - The Freshman is off to a hot start, with an 11 point and a 17 point game for an average of 8.8 ppg. through four games. She’s a long and skilled guard that is a threat from three.
[player_tooltip player_id="336024" first="Ellie" last="McCarville"] - 5’9 G 2023 - Millard North - Ellie is one of the most skilled guards in the state. She can comfortably handle the ball and bring it up-court with ease. A skilled passer that can pass it in all directions, on target.
[player_tooltip player_id="305778" first="Avril" last="Smith"] - 6’0 F 2025 - Millard North - Avril is a valuable piece and a great prospect for Millard North. She’s extremely long and plays relentlessly. Always battling for the ball and is an effective finisher.
Worth a mention prospect, [player_tooltip player_id="298518" first="Callie" last="Cooper"] - 5’11 G/F 2023 - Southern - Callie is a scorer that doesn’t let up. She’s always attacking the hoop, putting constant pressure on the defense. One of the most versatile prospects in the state, as she’ll handle the point and also post up when she has a size advantage.
The Loomis-Gotl sisters are getting better. Big sister Ruthie, is the schools all-time leading scorer with lots of career left. She recently had a 28 point outing.
