The 2025 Palmetto State Rankings have been posted. 113 players made this first edition here in the State of South Carolina. Who are some girls that might just be a bit off the grid and you don’t know much about? Prep Girls Hoops has the answers right here. [player_tooltip player_id="258135" first="Makayla" last="Legette"] - Latta HS (pictured on front) Legette plays over in the Pee Dee area near the North Carolina State line. Makayla averaged 21.4 ppg this season for the Lady Vikings. Legette has the ability score the ball from all over the floor and all 3 levels. She plays the game so smooth from the backcourt and really sees the floor well. The Vikings coaching staff consist of former Latta/Georgetown player Ruby Lee Wright. [player_tooltip player_id="305000" first="Madison" last="McCain"] - Fox Creek HS McCain is a force inside the paint for the Lady Predators. Madison can play with her back to the basket and really does a good job of carving out space. She plays aggressive for her age and does a good job of rebounding the ball outside of her area. McCain averaged 14.3 ppg and 11.8 rebounds this past season for the Lady Predators (16-12). [player_tooltip player_id="253659" first="KeMarja" last="Peay"] - Lancaster HS Peay has patrolled the paint for the Lady Bruins the past few seasons. KeMarja averaged 13.1 ppg and 7.4 rebounds for the Lady Bruins (12-9). She does her best work around the basket and collecting tip-ins and putbacks. Peay does a good job of running the floor and filling the lane in transition. [player_tooltip player_id="378101" first="Logan" last="Collins"] - Lucy Beckham HS (Mount Pleasant) Collins averaged 9.8 ppg, 4.4 rebounds and 2.7 steals this season for the Lady Bengals (10-12). Logan is the primary ball-handler for this very young squad in the Lower State. Collins really does a good job of using ball screens and looking to make plays from out top. She has really court vision and at times tends to be a step or two in front of her teammates on the floor. [player_tooltip player_id="342513" first="Janiya" last="Richburg"] - Loris HS Richburg saw really good action and minutes this season for the Lady Lions. Janiya a left-handed forward won’t hesitate to knock your block off at times with her play around the paint. Richburg does a good job running to her spots on the floor and playing on contact. Janiya started her career as an 8th grader at nearby Green Sea Floyds HS before coming over to the Lions. Janiya averaged 5.8 ppg, 7.4 rebounds and 2.4 steals this past season for the Lady Lions (20-9). [player_tooltip player_id="375981" first="Janiya" last="Squire"] - Ninety-Six HS Squire yes plays at a school call Ninety-Six HS over in Greenwood County. Janiya averaged 12.5 ppg and 15.2 rebounds this past season for the Lady Wildcats. Janiya now turns her focus to the softball diamond this spring for the Lady Wildcats.
