Players from all over the state played three games and had the chance to shine in front of college coaches, myself, and Scott Hankamp. I walked away with a list of kids that I can’t wait to follow this year. The competition was intense, yet I saw a lot of kids just enjoying the game. Below are kids that played super well and left it all on the court.
Skilled big that can do a little bit of everything. She has great footwork on her seals. She jumps for rebounds and collects her fair share. Plays hard and gets into good positions.
Kendall is a plus defender that has the ability to be disruptive. She had multiple steals and a solid block. She keeps plays alive with hustle and rebounds her position well. She had a sweet split of a double team to created a scoring opportunity for a teammate.
Highlights
Riley is a smooth shooting wing that cannot be left open. She has the ability to hit off the bounce. She can score in a variety of ways and is a solid down hill driver.
Highlights
I love a kid that helps pull her team together when they are struggling. Alexis has a mental fortitude that I appreciate and a blue collar ethic that her teammates love. She is a willing passer and rebounds like a big.
I loved watching this kid play. She plays fast and physical, lives in the passing lane, and keeps plays alive. She rebounds the ball as hard as she plays defense, which is intense. She always seems to be around the ball.
This is a freshman to watch. She misreported herself as a post, but she is a jet fast guard. She has a wicked spin move and has strong handles. She jumps over other players on rebounds. This is a high flying kid that is going to be noticed.
The Lakeshore product is a Three and D specialist that has solid fundamentals. She is a crafty off ball cutter and plays passing lanes well. She hits her spot up corner threes and runs hard in transition.
Top notch scoring is what Jaslynn brings to the table. She is a three level scorer that seeks contact on drives. Her pullup jumper is smooth. Her three point form is smooth and productive. The biggest thing is that she loves contact.
The Muskegon senior put on a show. She drives with her shoulder down and bullies through contact. She is super fast in the open court and has the ability to hit threes off of screens. My favorite play was when she went through two opponents for a rebound before ripping the ball out of third opponent’s hand- she’s hard nosed.
An absolute jet with the ball and a fierce defender. She is always around the ball and keeps an abnormal amount of plays alive. She rebounds like her life depends on it. She is a lock down defender that chips in on offense.
