NC Top 250 Game Changers

The NC Top 250 was held on Saturday where athletes from all over the state were able to come into one place to show off their talents and how they can compete against the best of the best. The following athletes stood out as absolute game changers stepping up for their teams and doing it all.
Icyss Storm Icyss Storm 6'1" | SF Grace Christian | 2025 State NC had some nice post moves in the paint working against tough opponents to score some points. She was battling on the block for rebounds. She handled the ball well driving to the basket, and she was persistent going after offensive rebounds to score some points. She’s even effective handling the ball around the arc. She plays with an aggressiveness that shows no fear going against anyone on the court.
Mackenzie Chabala Mackenzie Chabala 5'9" | SF 1 Of 1 Prep Academy | 2023 State NC was constantly talking to her teammates encouraging them and communicating with them. She hustled back on offense running the floor well in transition scoring on fast breaks or being ready for the offensive rebound. She sees the floor well moving quickly in transition finding her open teammates to score some points. She followed her own shot taking advantage of the few misses to put it back up for some points. She drained it from deep, too.
Reese Fritz Reese Fritz 5'8" | SG 1 Of 1 Prep | 2024 State NC had a nice transition three pointer, and she continued to score from deep throughout the day. You know you’re a good shooter when even the top athletes in the state are calling her the shooter that needs to be guarded closely. She can drive hard to the basket, and she doesn’t shy away from contact. She slides into the openings easily.
Trista Charles Trista Charles 5'11" | CG Oak Grove | 2025 State NC was blocking shots and grabbing them as steals. She can guard any position on the court using her height to battle in the paint, and she’s quick laterally to handle guards trying to get around her. She can drive hard downhill for some points or make a nice dish. Be prepared to see her drain it from deep as well.
Kairah Dixon Booker Kairah Dixon Booker 5'10" | SF North Mecklenburg | 2023 State NC came right in and scored for her team, and she hustles after every loose ball. She was constantly moving on offense getting open for the pass. She was scoring on all levels doing if off of passes or off her own dribble. She hustled back on defense, too, stopping points in transition.
Kelsey Rhyne Kelsey Rhyne 5'10" | SG Lake Norman | 2026 State NC drove hard downhill battling through contact for some points. She also has some nice range knocking down some deep threes. She took a steal coast to coast driving aggressively to the basket. She easily got lost by her opponents cutting to the basket.
Autumn Washington Autumn Washington 5'11" | SG Ardrey Kell | 2026 State NC knocked down some nice three pointers. She used her height to flash in the paint getting a pass and being ready to put up the shot. She hustled after loose balls, too. She was persistent when going after offensive rebounds and used those for her own points. On defense, she showed off her versatility guarding a range of players in various positions.
Erica Mathews Erica Mathews 5'8" | CG Winston Salem Christian | 2024 State NC moved so quick downhill grabbing a rebound and getting it up the court weaving in and out of her opponents to get to the basket. She had a nice fingertip roll for some points. She was sneaky making cuts without the ball finding the open spot and making the shot. She had some nice defense guarding a quick opponent keeping her in front and preventing her from scoring in transition. She had a nice behind the back dribble breaking ankles on her way to two points on a fast break. She even made an impressive long pass up the court for some fast break points.
Sheree Gidney Sheree Gidney 5'10" | PF Hickory Ridge | 2024 State NC runs the floor well in transition showing off some nice spin moves to score on fast breaks. She did well starting from the top of the key and driving herself, or she flashed in the paint looking for a pass. She had a nice shot fake opening up the court for her teammate. She was aggressive going after rebounds on both ends.
Kirsten Lewis-Williams Kirsten Lewis-Williams 5'10" | CG Lake Norman | 2023 State NC used her court vision to find her opponents cutting to the basket making some nice passes for her team. She was constantly grabbing rebounds for her team and taking it the other direction with speed. She is so effective driving hard to the basket rolling the ball off her fingertips for some points. She has a nice pull up jumper knocking down shots from all over the court.
