Avery DeHaan Avery DeHaan 5'9" | CG Storm Lake | 2026 State IA
The Storm Lake freshman has played as well as anyone could’ve hoped out of the gates this season. DeHaan has been a shot-maker when she stepped on the floor this season and has made a good impression early on this season. Her ability to score with volume and efficiency has helped get her team to a solid 3-1 record this season. Not only has she led all 26s in scoring, but she has a wide lead in 3-pointers made with 5.3 per game.
Macy Comito
I saw Comito a few times over the summer, and her leading her class in assists per game this season doesn’t surprise me. I like that she can score at a solid level, but her facilitation helps take her Carlisle team to another level. Comito is averaging nearly half of her team’s total assists per contest and currently boasts a positive assist-to-turnover ratio. The Wildcat has been trusted early and often with the ball in her hands, and her team is 3-1.
Trishelle Miller Trishelle Miller 5'10" | CG Sioux City East | 2026 State IA
The Sioux City East newcomer has efficiently scored the ball. Miller is among the leaders in scoring in her class, but some underlying numbers will make her game stand the test of a season. For one, Miller is among the top five in her class in free throws made per game and has connected on 85.7% of her attempts thus far. The ability to get to the line and make free throws will help her team win games and her statistically. For instance, having six free throws made in a game can swing the result of the final score more often than you’d imagine, and she’ll likely have the ball in her hands late in close games to make decisions with the ball because defenses won’t want to foul her.
Lindsey Davis Lindsey Davis 5'8" | SG Nodaway Valley | 2024 State IA has carried the scoring load of the offense at Nodaway Valley, but Eisbach has had a significant role in their offense. The Wolverine has over a third of the team’s assists this season and has over three steals per game. Eisbach has earned a role immediately and will run with her opportunity.
