Yazmeen Whitsitt Yazmeen Whitsitt 5'8" | PG Decorah | 2024 State IA
The Decorah guard is currently 2nd in scoring in 4A, and she’s been integral in helping the Vikings to a 14-2 record this season. The junior is a confident scorer not bothered by any defense, she has her motion to shoot, and there isn’t anything or anyone that can change that. The Viking has 44/43/87 shooting splits thus far this season, and she’s been around those numbers since the beginning. She’s been lethal and consistent, which is perfect for a versatile guard.
Morgan Mann Morgan Mann 5'7" | SG Humboldt | 2025 State IA
Personally, what stands out to me about Mann’s game is her effort level. Yes, she is one of the best scorers in 4A, but she also plays hard every time she steps foot on the floor, and that’s a skill. Mann utilizes her spatial awareness to find shots off the dribble within the flow of Humboldt’s offense. Whatever weakness a team has defensively, Mann will abuse it for 32 minutes if she has to. Mann keeps everything simple, and it works for her.
Alliyah Thompson Alliyah Thompson 6'1" | SF Ballard | 2024 State IA
The former state champion is the lengthy athletic wing every team loves to have. The multi-sport standout at Ballard is in the top ten in scoring in 4A this season. She contributes to every aspect of the game for the Bombers. Thompson can rebound, defend, pass, and create havoc on both ends. Successful teams need a kid like Thompson to be versatile and bring a dynamic aspect to the floor that most players can’t. She’s been in the Bombers’ system for some time now, and she’s only improved with time, and this season has been no different. The Bombers will be a tough out this postseason.
Brooklyn Stanley Brooklyn Stanley 5'8" | PG Bishop Heelan | 2024 State IA
The Bishop Heelan wing does a bit of everything for the Crusaders. She can score from anywhere on the floor, isn’t shy about taking perimeter jumpers, defends with passion, and gets after it on the boards. What makes her good is that there is no issue with her closing games. She’s smart, makes good decisions with the ball, can make free throws, and make shots. She’s a kid who makes an offense work even if she’s not scoring the ball on that night.
