McKenna Sievers McKenna Sievers 5'4" | SG Newell-Fonda | 2024 State IA
The Newell-Fonda junior plays with a group that flies up and down the floor and has plenty of quick scoring opportunities. Sievers leads the state with over eight assists per game and is a significant piece to how Newell-Fonda plays as fast as they do. Sievers plays up in the full-court press, earns three steals per game, and causes chaos in the backcourt, and when they get the ball back, Sievers makes the right decisions when attacking recovering defenses.
Katy Reyerson Katy Reyerson 6'2" | PF West Marshall | 2023 State IA
Reyerson is the only player in Iowa averaging 20 points and six assists per game this season. Reyerson is the piece that makes her West Marshall team go. The Trojan is not too far away from averaging a triple-double because she’s also recording over 12 rebounds per game. Reyerson’s ability to make things happen with the ball in her hands makes the life of every one of her teammates easier. When someone earns that level of trust, it’s for a reason, and Reyersonhas been outstanding.
The Estherville Lincoln-Central sophomore is already a state champion and looks to be building towards another run to the Wells Fargo Center. Stokes is a guard who does an excellent job of getting downhill and making good decisions with the ball in her hands. She has the touch to finish over or around tall defenders around the basket and the vision to make the right pass when defenses collapse. Stokes’ ability to read teams while being aggressive makes her one of the most lethal guards in 3A, and with her on the floor, her team will be tough to beat in the postseason.
Macy Comito
The Carlisle freshman is still figuring out how to be the best version of herself at the high school level, but she’s still been fantastic. Comito has led her team to a 10-3 record in the first half of the season. The freshman has also been a solid creative force with the ball in her hands. She has been around the top ten in assists in the state. Comito’s ability to create offense for herself and others has been one of the significant factors in the Wildcats being where they are in 3A.
