23.1 PPG. Johnson is one of the top 2025 players in the nation. She can do a little bit of everything on her own and if she was a selfish player, she might be averaging 40+ PPG. However, teams key in on her and while she obviously still gets, and takes advantage, of her scoring opportunities, she also recognizes when her teammates are open and she gets them the ball. Look for Johnson to score efficiently at all 3 levels as she looks to lead SHA to another LIT Championship game.
22.9 PPG. Bradley is one of the top shooters you can find in Kentucky. She can really light it up from deep, but she also has the ability to score inside of the perimeter and at the rim. She has excellent ball handling skills and she can handle pressure. Her ability to score in many ways really makes her a tough match-up. Bradley is also an excellent passer. She’s used to being face-guarded or double-teamed, so she knows how to take the pressures that come with that. Expect her to put up a lot of points as her Lady Waves squad tries to get some statement wins next week.
Highlights
21.4 PPG. Like Johnson, Macy is also one of the top 2025 players in the nation. There really hasn’t been an answer for stopping her around the basket this entire season. Macy is a unique player because while she does a lot of damage inside the paint or around the basket, she can play inside or out. She makes great passes to her teammates, she has a ton of moves she can use effectively in games, and she’s very strong with the ball. You can expect to see Macy all over the stat sheet as she looks to lead her Jags team to an LIT Championship.
21.3 PPG. Jones continues to prove why she’s on the of the top players in the area. She has great touch around the basket and she gets a ton of offensive rebounds and put-backs. She works hard to find the gaps and get open down low, and once her teammates get her the ball, she really makes good decisions when it comes to scoring or kicking it out. Jones can score off of drives too and she finishes on both sides of the rim. Expect her to get a ton of paint points for the Yellow Jackets.
18.5 PPG. Wilkins is long and athletic. She handles the ball well and she knows when to push the tempo. She can knock down outside shots, score off of pull-up jumpers, or she can finish in crafty ways on her drives. Whether she’s spotting up or creating off of the bounce, Wilkins really has a scorer’s mentality. She doesn’t let a couple of misses effect her and she also distributes the ball well.
16.7 PPG. Molden has a very high basketball IQ. She can handle the ball well and she’s an excellent playmaker. However, she can obviously put the ball in the basket as well. Molden is a high level shooter who can knock them down from anywhere on the floor. She’s got excellent form and a quick release. She also makes strong fakes and can finish floaters, layups, and pull-up jumpers. Southwestern will be looking to avenge an early season loss as they open up LIT play against Bullitt East.
16.5 PPG. Dillman has a scorer’s mentality, but she also does a great job of distributing the ball when help steps over. She is a strong shooter with deep range. She can knock down outside shots and she makes good drives to the hoop. Dillman can finish in many different ways… floaters, drives, jump shots, etc. She’s very quick with and without the ball, so when she pushes the tempo, you have to really hustle to stop her.
16.3 PPG. Lind is so long and one of the aspects that makes her really hard to stop is her decision making. When she doesn’t have a good look at the basket, she does a great job of locating and getting the ball to her very talented teammates. However, she can score even with a defender on her by elevating over the defense or finishing through contact. Lind has good touch around the basket, but she can score the ball at all 3 levels.
16 PPG. Bolin has such good elevation on her shots, so even if the defense is in front of her, she’s able to get shots off over top of them. She finishes on both sides of the rim and she moves inside to get into the openings. She is a strong rebounder and she can get multiple offensive rebounds and put-backs if you don’t get a body on her. Bolin uses her length to get steals and deflections that can also lead to buckets in transition.
Highlights
15.6 PPG. Knight is one of the best post players in the state. She has so many post moves that she can use to score around the basket. She finishes in so many different ways and with both hands, so it’s tough for the defense to guess what she’s going to do next. Knight can also step out and knock down jump shots or 3’s. When she gets the ball down low, she is typically going to finish or get to the free throw line. When she doesn’t, she makes great passes to her teammates.
Ayden Smiddy
Ayden Smiddy
15.6 PPG. Smiddy is a really strong guard because she can bring the ball down the floor or play off of the ball, but she makes stuff happen either way. She is very shifty with the ball, so she can get creative on her drives and she can finish tough shots. Smiddy is a great shooter with deep range as well. She can knock down spot up jumpers or she can pull-up off of the dribble.
15.5 PPG. Thompson is a true 3 level scorer. She can knock down 3’s or jump shots, but she’s also shown her skills around the basket this season. While she’s always been a dangerous driver, especially with her ability to stop and pop at any point, but she’s added some post moves to her arsenal this season that make her even more tough to defend. She’s strong and can finish through contact, but she’s also willing to do whatever it takes to get her team a win.
