[player_tooltip player_id='598839' first='Dana' last='Imankulova'], 6'0", CG, The Independent School - Imankulova was the lone returning Central Plains League first team selection coming into the 2023 season. She averaged 14.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 2.4 steals. Likely to be the top seed in the 2A Belle Plaine substate, she is an experienced component for a 14-4 squad position for a good shot to reach the state tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='597038' first='Mallorie' last='Church'], 5'5", PG, Tescott - A 2022 Northern Plains League second team selection, she is making a big argument for first team honors. Church has put up big double-double numbers in averaging 14.9 points, on 44% shooting, and 10.6 rebounds for the 9-10 Trojans. While she has dropped 4.1 turnovers per game she gathering 2.3 steals and 2.2 assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='598838' first='Sydney' last='Scholes'], 5'10", SF/PF, El Dorado - Scholes is a long-limbed, athletic forward with has an ability to find her way to the free throw line. She has terrific hops that more than help her compete on the glass.

[player_tooltip player_id='598828' first='Alysa' last='Ladson'], 5'8", PG, Royal Valley - While MaxPreps is only showing 10 games of stats entered for the team, Ladson is clearly an important piece of the Panther puzzle. Second on the team in scoring, 9 points per game, she is also picking up 2.8 assists and 1.4 steals for game. She is also shooting 38% from three with 19 made. Ladson has good speed, some handles, and is athletic on the finish.

[player_tooltip player_id='597039' first='Brenna' last='Rath'], 5'5", PG, Golden Plains - Coming into the 2023 season Rath made my list of top returning efficient assist leaders. In 24 games last season she gathered 80 assists, 3.3 per game, and held a 1.45 assists to turnovers ratio. No stats for the 16-3 Bulldogs have been entered this year but Rath is a floor leader on both ends who is counted on the put up points and cause other guards problems as a defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='597040' first='Trinity' last='Kruse'], 5'3", PG, Pretty Prairie - A returner for the 17-2, 1A Division I defending champions, she is averaging 13.3 points, 6 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 3.6 steals. On 19 shots Kruse is shooting 42% from three point land and 62% from the line on 79 attemps. One of my Top returning efficient assist leaders, her assists-to-turnovers ratio is a solid 2. Kruse has especially quick hands and is unafraid of contact on the finish.

[player_tooltip player_id='597041' first='Marley' last='Munz'], 5'7", CG, Kingman - When it is all boiled down Munz is a basketball player who competes hard doing a great deal of little things that, unless you really pay attention, can be easily overlooked. Among those is her boxing out ability on both ends of the floor. She finds a body and can take away any attempt to get to a rebound. Munz catches and scores on the run in transition, uses a good head fake to get a couple steps within 10' of the basket, and moves well into space and scoring position.

[player_tooltip player_id='598827' first='Brooke' last='Befort'], 5'5", CG, Osborne - Befort is averaging 7.1 points, 2.8 assists, and 1.4 steals for the 17-2 Bulldogs. Her three point shooting percentage is a career best 33% with 25 made. Befort is also shooting 86% from the line.
