The Queen of the Stepback poured in her 1000th point. She’s playing her way into the Miss Basketball conversation.
Abney was a walking bucket last night, as is usually the case. She had 30 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 assists and a block. Her well rounded game is elite.
Highlights
Tringali is a menace for opponents with her energy and scoring. She led the way in a 47-36 win against Nore Dame Prep by scoring 24 points.

Abby Malone
Malone is a name new to the Prep Girls Hoops Michigan pages, but if she plays like she did last night, she’ll see her name again for sure. She came just shy of a double-double with 10 points and 9 steals. That’s a great defensive effort.
Karie Keefer
Karie Keefer
Keefer led the way for an impressive Freeland win against Essexville Garber. She scorched the nets with 28 points and also set the table for the rest of the offense with 6 assists. Everyone wants a lead guard that can score and distribute.
Macon is still underrated if you ask me. She’s a special lead guard with a super high basketball IQ. She showed that last night in a 19 points and 10 steal performance.
Highlights
Winters finished a hard fought win with 12 rebounds and 9 points. The Waterford Mott star is an Alma commit.
In a hard fought win over a skilled Shrine team, Elam was a star that shone through. The silky smooth guard scored 26 points and paced the team defensively with 5 big steals.
Grand Blanc secured a big win against a very good and well coached Westfield Prep squad. Bishop paced the team with her athleticism and shot making, ending the contest with 19 points.
Kent City is on fire right now as a team and Bowers has obviously been key to that run. In last nights win, she had 27 points, 10 steals and 3 assists. With play like this from Bowers, Kent City could be playing a lot of post season games.
Speaking of the crusing Kent City team, it’s not a 1 girls show. Geers is a critical piece of the puzzle. She also dropped in with a double-double last night with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Theres a reason that we keep seeing Malia Thelen Malia Thelen 5’6″ | PG Portland | 2024 State MI ‘s name in articles. It’s because she’s a really good basketball player. She had a game high 23 points in a close win against Ionia.
Good luck beating Chelsea when Avery Lay Avery Lay 6’1″ | SF Chelsea | 2025 State MI is playing like this. She led the way in a win against a very talented Tecumseh team. Lay finished with 22 points and also grabbed 4 boards helping her team clinch at least a share of the SEC White title.
Bruwer has been lights out since the fall and nothing changed last night. In a win against Hopkins, she shot the lights out on her way to 31 points in the game.

Bolton did Bolton things in the victory that put the team at the top of the conference. She scored 18 points while dishing off 3 assists and getting 3 steals.
Yeah, here she is again. In an impressive win against Thurston, Jones paced her squad on both ends of the floor. She finished with 22 points and 14 steals with her ball pressure being just too much for their opponents to overcome.

Thomas helped her team stay undefeated in the Downriver League last night in a tough 43-42 win against Woodhaven. She led the way with 21 points.
