It really served a good purpose to start the season. Prep Girls Hoops was able to put our eyes on a few teams before things start going this coming week. Let’s dive into the action right here on your source for coverage in the Palmetto State.
Keep in mind we were just here for a day of action. This doesn’t reflect the whole weekend of games. #RecruitThePalmettoState
Calling the Class of 2027:
The future of basketball in the Palmetto State looks to be very good in the years to come. Who are some of these ladies in the 2027 class? Plus we want to mention one young lady from across the way in Georgia in here.
Logan Murray Logan Murray 5'11" | SF Wilson | 2027 State SC – Williams M.S. – Wilson HS – Palmetto 76ers Select
Murray played on varsity this season for the Lady Tigers. She plays the game very aggressively for her age already and shows to have a good skill set. Logan and her teammates ran into a buzz saw today in A’ja Wilson Elite 17U. She continued to battle by posting up down low and hitting the glass on both ends of the floor.
Ashley Walker Ashley Walker 5'9" | PF North Augusta | 2027 State SC – Paul Knox M.S. – North Augusta HS – Southern Queens
Walker is very versatile when it comes to handling the rock up the floor or posting up down low. She can get downhill and really looks to go to work down in the paint. Ashley never looks to back down from a challenge. Ashley was able to handle the rock in the front court and really shows to have a good basketball IQ. She helped the Lady Yellow Jackets win the Class 4A State Championship this past season.
Harmony Jefferson Harmony Jefferson 5'9" | CG Camden | 2027 State SC – Camden – Camden HS – Palmetto 76ers 15U
Jefferson fresh off a Class 3A State Championship didn’t let up in a victory over the SC Titans. She was all over the floor collecting steals in the passing lanes and attacking the gaps. Harmony showed a few crossover moves on the way to the cup while finishing at the rim.
Aneya Britt Aneya Britt 5'9" | SF Westwood | 2027 State SC – Kelly Mill M.S. – Palmetto 76ers 15U
Britt brings great versatility to the floor. She plays extremely active on both ends of the floor. Aneya understands how to get the ball into the gaps and create separation. She rebounds the ball really well from her position – while always staying active away from the ball in the process.
Trinity Crumlin Trinity Crumlin 6'2" | C Dutch Fork | 2027 State SC – Dutch Fork M.S. – Dutch Fork HS
Crumlin plays the game with a good motor down in the paint. Trinity runs to her spots and looks to stay active on both ends of the floor. She connected on some putbacks today on the glass. Trinity does a nice job of keeping the ball up out of reach of defenders after claiming it off the glass.
Chabria Tate Chabria Tate 5'6" | PG Evans | 2027 State GA – Evans M.S. (Evans, GA) – Southern Queens
Tate can really get the ball to the basket with ease. She seemed to be a set ahead of her teammates at times today. Chabria would race by defenders and kindly at times and turn around and wait for them. She plays the game coast to coast, and she had little to no problems touching the paint at will. Chabria really excels in the transition game.
