Continue ReadingEllie Muller Ellie Muller 6’3″ | C Dowling Catholic | 2026 State IA came into the game for the Dowling Catholic Maroons as the “6th man” on the way to their state appearance this season. Muller, a 6’2 freshman, has a fantastic skill set at the post position. She was the type of player all season that her team could ask her to come in and be consistent off the bench. On the season she shot just over 55% from the field, making her one of the most efficient scorers in the entire state of Iowa. Her team does a good job of getting her the ball in a favorable position on the offensive end leading to a good look or assist for Muller. She has good hand eye coordination around the hoop that leads to a lot of easy baskets for herself throughout the longevity of a game due to rebounding the ball so efficiently. Next year I imagine she is going to move into the starting role for her Maroons team as they attempt to have another great season followed by another state run, this time with them winning the championship in the end.
Macy Comito isn’t necessary a new face to the rankings but she is ranked in the top 10 and is a player that needs to be highlighted for the season she just put together for her Carisle high school team. Comito led the freshman class in total assists and APG on the season. She averaged 13.2 PPG, 5.2 RPG, and 5.3 APG on the way to an overall 15-8 record for her squad. She did a great job of mixing up her offense attack this year. She led her team in PPG while also leading them in APG, this says that she can get her own and score but at the same time isn’t selfish enough to hoard the ball. This is something you don’t always see in your athletes at this age but it stands out in this case. It’ll be intriguing the interest she brings in over these next few months during the AAU season. She could be a nice piece to a program that needs a pass first point guard with the ability to handle and score in big moments.
Emma Boswell Emma Boswell 5’11” | SF Orient-Macksburg | 2026 State IA may not of had the best “team” season with her high school but individually she put together a year to remember. Boswell, a dominate power forward, showed that she can do a plethora of things on the floor to make her team and teammates better. This season she led all freshman in rebounding with grabbing a total of 405 on the season, the next highest by a freshman was around 260, so if doesn’t that say how well she does at rebounding I don’t know what will. Other then rebounding she averaged 13.6 PPG, and led the state in blocks for the freshman class with 74. All these numbers are extremely impressive when you consider that she is only listed at 5’11. Another important factor to know is that their roster consists of 8 players, therefore she is playing a lot of minutes and not getting many breaks in the meantime. I’ll be curious to see how she bounces back next season for her high school year and see if she can put up some similar numbers. If so, her interest as a prospect will be on the rise.
