Let’s take a look at some of the standout 2025 ball handlers.
Jamaria Freeman Jamaria Freeman 5’6″ | CG NC GBB | 2025 State NC was making some nice moves attacking the paint and pulling defenders towards her as she made the dish to the block for her teammate to score. She did a nice job taking the ball all the way herself making some old fashioned three point plays. She had an effective spin move finishing with a fingertip roll at the rim scoring two.
Highlights
Sanai Cole Sanai Cole 5’7″ | PG Millbrook | Oak City Prep | 2025 State NC sees the floor well finding her open teammates on the block for some points making some nice lob passes perfectly dropping into her teammates’ hands. She can attack the basket well exploding up the court after she grabs the steal, or she can release being ready for the pass to score in transition that way. She’s a nuisance on defense getting her hands in the way of her opponents.
Maggie Kernodle Maggie Kernodle 5’8″ | CG Charlotte Catholic | 2025 NC attacked the basket driving aggressively to get her points. She handles the ball well moving around the perimeter and attacking the gaps. She was great facilitating offensive sets to get some points for her team scoring on all levels using her high motor to keep the offensive plays going.
Jasmine Nivar Jasmine Nivar 5’6″ | SG Apex Friendship | 2025 State NC did a nice job seeing the court and knowing when to lay the ball up or use a jump stop in transition to score some points. She moves well with the ball attacking the basket scoring through transition making some old fashioned three point plays. Her ability to relocate and attack the gaps even without the ball made her a difficult player to guard.
Makenzie Kelly Makenzie Kelly 5’6″ | PG Athens Drive | 2025 State NC had a nice crossover getting some space, and she knocked down her shot from deep. She read her opponents well knocking the ball away, grabbing the steal, and pushing it up the court for a fast break. She is sneaky on both ends being able to come in for the steal or move past her defender.
