Their competitive nature and willingness to put in the extra work has always stood out to me. One of the talented position groups in this class is the shooting guards, so let’s take a look at some of those players below.
I actually wrote about Sayler Lowe Sayler Lowe 6’0″ | SG Calloway County | 2026 State KY a week ago in the top ten article as she came out on top of the rankings, so rather than repeating myself here, I will copy and paste what I wrote in that article: Lowe took over the top spot in the 2026 rankings in this latest rankings update. After a phenomenal freshman season at Calloway County, she has continued to show her skills on a big stage at the AAU level. Playing up on Kentucky Premier ‘s 16U EYBL team, Lowe’s advanced skillset has been on full display. Along with her ability to score at all 3 levels, she has height and length that can’t be taught. When watching her team play, she instantly stood out. She doesn’t try to do too much, but she just plays her game and I can’t imagine college coaches not being very impressed with what she brings to the floor as she can do a little bit of everything and is an excellent scorer. Lowe averaged a double-double, 20.3 PPG and 10.7 RPG, as a freshman while shooting 51% overall and 41.7% from deep.

Moore is a player whose stock is going to continue to rise as more people get their eyes on her. She’s long and tall, but she moves her feet extremely well. When it comes to effort plays, Moore is going to make them. She’s willing to get on the floor to get a loose ball or sprint to get a long rebound. She’s also more than capable of locking up an opposing team’s best player because she uses her length to be really disruptive defender. Moore can make plays for her teammates or score herself offensively.
Renee dropped a little bit in this rankings update, but not because of anything she did wrong and once she’s back on the court, you can expect to see her jump back into the top ten. She has been dealing with injuries, but that doesn’t stop her from putting in the work. She has been doing as much as she is able to do, while also watching and studying the game off the court. Renee will come back strong and she is definitely a standout on the court. She’s strong and can power through you to score at the rim, while also being more than capable of scoring from deep.

I don’t think any of our scouts had actually gotten to see Heatherly before these rankings were set, but after watching her play in person, she’s easily a top 15 player (and I believe even higher than that). For starters, she’s a true competitor. Her mindset and attitude are second to none. When she steps on the floor, it’s all business, whether she’s there for practice, training, or games. She gives 110% and is a leader. Heatherly has a excellent basketball IQ, strong handles, and is a great passer. She can also score inside or out.
McDonald is a really solid player overall. You can tell she has a high IQ when you watch her play, but she also doesn’t try to do too much. Defensively, she uses her length so well to come up with steals, deflections, and blocks. Offensively, while she can score, whenever I watched her play, she was more of a facilitator that you had to respect because of her scoring ability. She would draw help and kick to her teammates, but also showed an ability to get to the rim or knock down shots.
I haven’t gotten to watch Allen play in a while, so I’m very anxious to watch her again simply because she has made big improvements every time I’ve seen her play in the past. Last time I saw her, she was showing off her floor general skills. She was really setting the pace for her team while always having her head on a swivel. She has good handles and makes great passes up the floor and in the half court set. While she didn’t take many shots when I watched her, it was clear she had the ability to get to the rim and finish in the paint, while also being able to knock down jump shots.
