I think this will really help give everyone a better idea of who to watch out for this summer, leading into the season this winter. Enjoy!

Emerson Timm Emerson Timm 5’6″ | PG Arlington | 2026 State NE is the definition of a pass first point guard and that was on full display last season for her Arlington high school varsity team. Timm, a 5’6 quick guard, is a playmaker, no other way around it. She has extremely active hands that lead to several steals on average, every game. Offensively, she can really fill up the stat sheet. She obviously passes well with great vision but other than that she can rebound, score in bunches, and be a terror on defense. The sky is the limit for Timm. Over the next few years I think she is going to make her case for being one the best passing point guard out of the state of Nebraska, if not thee best.
Ella Schluterbusch Ella Schluterbusch 5'2" | PG Bridgeport | 2026 NE

Ella Schluterbusch Ella Schluterbusch 5’2″ | PG Bridgeport | 2026 NE is a player that I wouldn’t necessarily categorize as a pass first point guard but definitely a point guard who understands how to run the position to a T, while creating and finding her teammates at a high and efficient rate. Other than passing the rock she is also a sniper from deep when the ball is rotated back to her. She seems to always know where the best spots are to see an open look at the hoop when things get intense during the late minutes of a big contest, usually ending with some big time makes by Schluterbusch. After seeing what she could do as a freshman with her Bridgeport team, I wouldn’t be surprised if she puts up some big times numbers again next season for her sophomore year. Only time will tell though.

When it comes to a promising player with a high ceiling that needs to be known out of the state of Nebraska we need to mention the name Mylee Tichota Mylee Tichota 5’10” | PG Yutan | 2026 State NE . Tichota is a 5’10 point guard who understands that she has speed, size, and strength on most of her opponents. She rarely settles for bad shots on offense and makes it a priority to find an open teammate whenever she can. Defensively she has the ability to to currently switch and guard between a 1-4 in most situations with her length and athleticism. Like I said above, watch out for Tichota. If she keeps growing both physically in her size and mentally with the skill side of the game, she is going to be an absolute weapon when it comes to high school ball in the near future. Even more so then she already is!
Ani Leu Ani Leu 6’0″ | PG Lincoln North Star | 2026 State NE had a good amount of hype behind her name coming into her freshman year and she did more then live up to it. A player who came in and averaged 11.6 PPG, 3.1 APG, 6.4 RPG, and 3.2 SPG, all while helping lead her team into the state tournament, was nothing short of fantastic for her team last season and is hoping to build on it this winter. She has a balanced mix of skill and wisdom of the game that helps her succeed on the court. I usually say some players just have “it” when you watch them play in some aspects of the game, well Leu has “it”, in a few different categories. In general, I would say she is the player you want to have the ball in their hands with the game on the line, let’s just leave it at that.
Lucy Fierro Lucy Fierro 5'4" | PG Westview | 2026 NE

Lucy Fierro Lucy Fierro 5’4″ | PG Westview | 2026 NE is a prospect I didn’t have a chance to see during this past high school season but during this AAU Spring I did and she put on a show. Fierro is a smaller point guard who has a lot of offensive weapons. Most importantly, she has a nasty handle that leads to either an assist or a floater for herself inside the lane, near the hoop. This was on display several times when I had the opportunity to watch her in Council Bluffs at the Legacy Classic earlier this spring. Along with all that she has a great head on her shoulders which is one of the most important things you need as a point guard who is somewhat undersized. With all this combined, her future is bright. I’m excited to see how else she can expand her game, becoming even more of a threat to opponents looking forward.
