I love catching young talent, always have, and always will so here are some of the players who are already showing "big things are coming" In case you missed it, Aja Patterson and Jada Smith have already been mentioned as well as [player_tooltip player_id='654819' first='Bailey' last='Burns'] on my site, didn't get a chance to catch all of the players who will be entering high school next season but here ya go

[player_tooltip player_id='1263720' first='Nia' last='McBride']-5'4 G (SA Finest National 15U)

McBride is a "long and athletic" guard that's already showing signs, in fact, lights are blinking, and not just because of her explosiveness off the dribble to attack the basket. Yes, she finishes strongly and after contact but her understanding of how to use her athleticism on both ends stood out. Her "on the ball" defense" was nice, she also plays the passing lane but her ballhandling as well as court vision added a little something extra to her impressive game

Lyla Delafosse-5'6 PG (Cy Fair Premier 15U)

Delafosse continues to show me she's a highlight waiting to happen and her deceptive first step to attack the basket has always been there yet her "body control" and staying with it after contact keeps getting better. She also understands how to create her shot under pressure and her jumper in the set as well as showing the "stop and pop" in transition is already creating problems for defenders. She sees the floor and makes the correct pass and her defense is solid

Makenzie Bailey-5'11 SF (SA Finest 15U 3SSB)

Bailey has UPS written by her name so that means she elevates off the floor with ease to rebound on both ends, yet she also shows good timing to block, alter, and (or) deflect shots. Watching her go coast to coast a few times after the rebound to either finish or hit teammates "on the money" was nice, and so was her attacking the basket whenever she wanted. She did a good job of not only defending but playing the passing lane as well and her showing the "catch and shoot" from outside JUST DID IT for me

Rachel Roberts-5'7 CG (Cy Fair Premier 15U)

Roberts does so many things well right now including "playing within herself" meaning she doesn't try things out of the ordinary. She does a good job of creating her shot to either take the defender off the dribble, with either hand and score, after contact included. That creativity also works for her to get the jumper off and continuously shows she can knock the mid to long-range down with a hand in her face. She also does a good job of getting hers "in the flow"

Regina Mendoza-5'7 CG (SA Finest National 15U)

Mendoza set it off immediately by not only showing she could knock down shots while being defended from mid to long-range, but she also showed she could "catch and shoot" it with accuracy and that is huge, especially at this stage of her career. It helps that she can mix it up and attack the basket to keep the defensive player honest but she doesn't take bad shots and she has some pretty nice upside so be reay
