Earlier, we looked at a few players to watch at the event. We’re making this a seriers due to all the talent at various levels that will be in attendance. So welcome to Part 2 of our Players To Watch at PGH Live!
You can see Part 1 below:
Woods has been electric this grassroots season with the Michigan Goonies 17u squad. She’s a must see player at PGH Live. Woods has shown a nasty crossover and has also attacked the rim with a nice hesitation dribble. She’s shown terrific touch on her floater as well as finishing in traffic.
Lundquist is a player that has cemented herself on plenty of radars with her play so far during grassroots season. She’s been a terrific 2 way player. Lundquist has been one of the better help side defenders and rim protectors this season. Offensively, she can play inside and out, attacking her matchups and spreading the floor.
Thelen is a player that many coaches will want to have an eye on. She can be found with CCE 2024 at the PGH Live event. Thelen has quick feet and sees the action ahead of schedule, especially on the defensive end of the floor. She’s a solid passer that has a knack for getting the ball to it’s spots.
Freshcorn needs to be seen by college coaches at this event. She will be running with Legends Flight 17u and should be considered a must see player. She has a passion for the game and for her craft, which I believe makes her the type of player that will utilize every ounce of her upside. Freshcorn is a terrific leader that a coach wants to have the ball in her hands in key moments.
Highlights
Mericle could be a very nice addition to a college program someday. Don’t look at her numbers because they sometimes don’t tell the story in how she influences the game for The Naturals 2025. Mericle is a feisty lockdown defender that comes up with big defensive stops. She’s a solid ball handler and floor general as well.
